What I expected, but I agree that the odd shape for a shaker is not as comfortable to hold and use as other shaker models. It's a good quality product, but the price might have been a little lower since I found sites that sell them for.

My gig guitar is a plain one that I use. This is a very loud, bouncy microphone and it is really easy to establish a solid rhythm with this. In fact, I bought three There is a significant difference in the volumes of each of these three books. I thought the plain one would be softer, the striped one a little louder, and the burled one quite loud. These are two of the items I ordered. It was great to receive one package! Other package looks like it was painted and sanded poorly, but the first package looks as though they didn't give it a chance. The sounds are good, but the aesthetics are also quite important to me with these.

I was not as happy as I Three boxes are offered a low, a medium, and an even louder one. Nevertheless, the louder box is not very loud and all of them would need a mic if used around a crowd of people.

The reason is primarily that they are trying to make it look like a proper cajon and they want to be cute. On the plus side, it is almost twice as loud as it's calomel or other plastic shaker counterparts made by Meinl. Thus, I will be keeping it in my arsenal of hand percussion instruments for campfires.
