I didn't care for the sound or the picture quality. However, I was impressed by the quality and feel of the product.
The natural finish on the ash wood is really nice, it has a good grip, and it's very versatile for both sound quality and volume, so I got this'sand hammer' to add to my percussion instrument lineup of tambourines, cajon, maracas, plastic shaker eggs, and so on. Above all, however, it is enjoyable to play. It also came with a convenient shelving storage box. This one is a keeper, and it's 'quiet' enough to use with a large diaphragm condenser mic without blowing out the highs, or loud and'mid-range' enough to use with a large diaphragm condenser mic without blowing out the highs. range- When used in close proximity to a Shure SM57 cardioid mic, it's good enough. Note on the product description: Although the photo depicts a pair of these, and the word "maracas" (plural) is used, this is a single piece, not a pair. br>Finally, I'd like to point out that Back in the 1980s, I had my eye on something similar to this, so I tried filling a Pringles can with raw popcorn as a cheap substitute. Needless to say, the stage cleanup that night after the end opened and sprayed popcorn all over the place was a disaster.
First and foremost, keep in mind that you will only receive one of these instruments with your purchase. The product photo shows two of them together, which is slightly misleading, but I only got one. I double-checked the product description and didn't see anything that suggested I should have ordered two, so keep that in mind before you place your order. br>br>This sand hammer is of excellent quality. The wood is smooth and well-sanded, making it pleasant to hold and use. The instrument is a little bigger than the product photos lead me to believe. It produces a pleasant sound that is loud enough to be heard even when other instruments are being played. Everything about the sound is exactly what I expected, and I believe this is a high-quality percussion instrument.
There are two options here: a 7" long K-frame or a 6" long K-frame. The S18 shaker, which comes in a single piece, and the 4" long K- S10, two shakers for the price of one. Each one is a cylindical wooden percussion instrument with small metal balls that produce a satisfying, punchy shaker sound. It penetrates a mix better than a jangly-style guitar. It has a bean maraca sound to it, and it is heavier. br>br>I used to have a smaller version of these that I bought in a Swiss music store and quickly became my favorite shaker for some reason. br>br>I had the opportunity to put the K-series to the test. It's S18, and it's a hefty one. The logo is simple and understated, but it is a little large. You can cover the logo by holding the shaker horizontally and centering your thumb in the middle. and you're ready to go br>br>I enjoy this gecko brand and hope to have the opportunity to try out more of their instruments in the future.
This is not a toy, but a high-quality, professional instrument. It is intended for professional musicians only. I'm primarily a guitarist, but I'm also a former drummer, and I play in a church contemporary praise band that could benefit from some non-musical members. Percussion drums This is exactly what I needed. There is a learning curve because it is quite steep and requires some adjustment. If you have a small hand, this may not be the best option for you. The majority of maracas and shakers are small and simple to use. But I'm getting used to it, and I think it's better than most, and I like how it blends in. It has a straightforward but appealing design. The surface is smooth and pleasant to the touch. It's louder than most, so it'll hold up in an amplified band, and it should fit in your side pocket if you have a guitar gig bag. It's far superior to the majority of shakers I've tried.
Nothing beats gathering around a bonfire with family and friends on our property. In the summer, we do it quite a bit. br>br>Some of us sing, while others play guitar or other instruments. We're not professionals, so it's a good thing we live out in the boonies where no one can hear us, but we have a great time. LOLbr>br>This wooden sand hammer is a fantastic addition to our instrument collection. br>br>With this one, everyone can have a good time, from great grandmother to the little ones. br>br>This is also a very attractive instrument. I like how the wood will darken over time as it is used. br>br>The size is ideal for any size hand, and the wood has been sanded to a silky smooth finish, giving it a really nice feel while playing. br>br>I have a shelf in my house where I keep kalimbas and other small instruments, and this sand hammer will fit in perfectly. br>br>It's also a great decor item because it adds warmth to my white shiplap. If you like to sing, this is the place for you. If you enjoy spending time around the campfire as much as we do, you'll enjoy this sand hammer. br>br>To tell you the truth, I'm going to order more. br>br>A well-made instrument of high quality. Everyone can play this game because it is simple. Exceptional value. br>br>Win. Win. Win. br>br>With this sand hammer, you will not be disappointed. We like it a lot. br>br>This one gets 5 stars. br>br>I hope this information has been useful to you.
Well- made. To be clear, you will only receive ONE of these, not the two shown. For deceiving the buyer, one star was docked. br>br>Aside from that, this instrument is one of my favorites. It'll work for both adults on stage and in the studio, as well as children participating in music programs. It's a good product. It's well-made and produces a fairly loud sound. Although the inside beads appear to be heavy, they do not have a metal sound to them. Perhaps something made of plastic. coated? The wood has a light matt finish and is well sanded, with an attractive laser-cut pattern. graphics that have been burned The inch- and-a- I'm going to add it to my bag of percussion instruments for when I'm playing at summer camp campfires and family gatherings because of the half diameter and heft. I'd suggest it.
