Several different kinds of music are played by me. I knew I would need a set of Jingle Bells when it came time to record my own Christmas song. In my trials of multiple solutions (from the stick with 20 bells, to a number of different antique solutions to brass bells), I had several failures. In summary, I bought these on a whim and found the Tone to be more lucious and superior than even the Brass jingle bells my grandfather Nicholas left me (he was a saint! Now, when people hear the recording of my Christmas song, they don't even comment on the writing or the rockabilly guitar licks, they simply say "WOW!", and that is the end of their comments. I DO NOT WANT TO MISS THE JINGLE BELLS. " If you want jingle bells that are just presentable, this may not be the best choice, but if you want a Sleigh Bell sound that steals the show, this is the bell to have. It's my apologies. It was just too good to resist. As a Christmas present for my sister, I bought these It is a tradition for me to do at a local restaurant every year, and they have served their purpose well. I liked their sound and they seemed to hold up to being "passed around. " just fine. The item I wanted was not obnoxious, and I did not want it to be too expensive in case it walked, or broke. The toy-like sound makes it sound like a toy. You need to buy a different sleigh bell if you want genuine sleigh bells sound. However, this is excellent in all other respects.

Jingle Bells is a favorite of our dulcimer group, and I ordered this to use when we play. In the end, I figured I had nothing to lose for $7 and change? I am completely blown away by this. Sound is excellent, volume is ideal, and it is comfortable in the hand. I am extremely pleased with the instrument. As far as I can tell, the bells are mounted to a vinyl strap, not a metal frame like I thought it would be. There is also a comfort factor and probably a sound factor as well.

I would have never thought a toy marketed for children would be so well made. This is great for when you want the sound of sleigh bells but don't want it to drown all other sounds out. Some of the other sleigh bells I own are way too loud, so I was looking for something to accent.
