This is an excellent sound, and the sound is exactly like sleigh bells!.
Band guys hear sleigh bells with a variety of prices, most of them costing about It is the price and frequency with which they will be used that led me to buy this item (about once a year, at Christmas). They sound very resonant and full, perfect for a sleigh bell feel you're going for, even though there are only 17 bells. During our performance, we used "All I Want for Christmas is You. " as the cover. Despite their difficulties, they were in fact able to sound quite similar to the bells on Mariah Carey's.
Is that really him? In a nutshell I can hear sleigh bells in this! It is just what we need. I am not concerned about my 5 year old being too heavy.
It was the highlight of the Xmas party it sounded almost as if 12 reindeer were out in the snow!.
It has a fairly large range and is easy to hold, but it does put out an impressive amount of sound. I don't think it is constructed all that well and only time will show if I am right or not. My guess is that it will sound fairly good in a live setting.
It was a good choice for my small singing group to use these sleigh bells. As our group sang Jingle Bells and other Christmas songs, we needed to have bells accompany us, but not too loud for the group. You have done a great job. It is a company I would recommend. These are well-constructed wooden tools and have solid wooden handles, which make them very easy to hold, and the wooden handles are not affected by harsh weather conditions. For a small group usually accompanied just by piano they work very well, but they may not be as effective with a large orchestra or a large singing group due to the volume of sound produced.
