How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

There are a wide variety of textures between each chamber
Generally the smaller, flat chamber produces brighter, sharper, wet tones the larger, round chamber produces mellow, round, dry bass
Sound waves are similar to those being created by a tabla in India or an oboe in the Middle East

Questions & Answers

Can a microphone be inserted into that hole?

A small lapel mic can be attached to two holes large enough for one. Tack is used to cover them when they are not in use.

These are a few considerations to keep in mind
4/5

The game has been in my possession for 2 years now, and I still enjoy While I own and play a variety of ethnic hand drums, this is by far my favorite as it is a flexible, easy-to-play instrument that encourages creativity and This particular model was selected from LP's offerings as it appears to have the largest diameter for the deepest bass and a more modest top hole.
Paint chips extremely easily as shown in the pictures. The drum also has two small holes and a piece of [what appears to be] sticky tack to seal them. There are tiny lavalier microphones inserted in the holes. About 1cm is the diameter of the holes. I've recorded/miked this with just a Zoom H4N pointed at it (at a distance of about 1 ft) and it sounded great, really shines when you add It is hard for an acoustic ear to distinguish nuances between these recordings, but they are clearly discernible If there are many others in a crowded area, it becomes easy to get drowned out. It is quite loud when played along with other drums, acoustic guitar or my udu's true partner - the acoustic guitar. However, it is more subtle in an intimate environment. An instrument that plays the tongue. A tongue drum and an Udu combine to make a great sound. Since I do not possess a typical mic, I do not have any experience with them. However, I find it to be an ugly design feature that there aren't more textures on the side, although rubbing the smooth side is pleasant. It is playability that is the worst part of it However, even though it looks cool on the rattan ring, it is not very stable, and when you're grooving it falls. The rattan ring on its side and the vertical ring on its back allow the game to be played in a different style from its usual Traveling with it is a bit difficult I have been planning to make a bag to fit it perfectly since I will care for it in a cotton beach bag but I am afraid it may break if it falls.

Clay Udu is one of my favorites! The clay Udu thing is the easiest one to play since it looks good and can be set on a table like normal, unlike the others, which move around and become unwieldy if you try to use them on a table, which they may not actually be meant to use
5/5

This is my favorite place to play it, the counter in the kitchen looks great while I'm playing it.

Phases with an unusual hollow sound, similar to the sound your palm sometimes makes when touching the mouth of a bottle
5/5

The problem is that it happens every time. The two bottles are connected like a pair of glasses. Neither one nor the other is right. With your fingers, you can make a hard drum sound as well. This is not an expert's field. This is a fun new toy for audio enthusiasts. I have been doing drum circles for a few years with other amateurs. You can get some wild sounds by using it, and the volume isn't It couldn't compete with my table drum, or my djembe. I found the drums easy to hear, though they were fragile. The ceramics were shaped awkwardly as well. A neck pillow goes with it, so I pack it in a case.

I haven't been able to use it in a live venue due to its great sound
3/5

Excellent sounding, but we couldn't use it for live venues due to the soft output. As a result, we frequently experienced feedback issues during playback. A seller bought it from me.

For this instrument to be used to its full potential, it would be best if a microphone were used
5/5

This is a very versatile instrument. You can create all kinds of sounds and rhythms with it. Taking part in such a game is very relaxing. In the absence of a microphone, the sound volume is a little low, and some of the sounds you can make are quietly muffled but not to the point where they can't be heard. In order to use the instrument to its fullest potential, a microphone would be advised.

It has so far been a great experience for me
5/5

I particularly like the bass line because it is resonant and deep. My experience with UDU has been great so far, but I am still new to Like other reviewers have mentioned, the bass is resonant and deep, while the smaller top sounds like a tabla. It is also very quiet, so if you plan to use it with others make sure that you can mic it.
