Questions & Answers

Could I use it to record my own burps and farts and then assign a burp and a fart to each button and then press the button and hear the burp or ?

Without a doubt There will be burps, farts, belches, puke noises, giggles, belly slaps, moans, groans, and much, much It's all in the 1/16 to 1/20 I would like a bit more clarity here It doesn't matter whether it's stereo or mono!

To what extent has the sample been collected?

My name is Jason, and I'm here to help you out As a matter of fact, it is measured in Time rather than sample memory. In mono, 270 seconds of sampling time is used in stereo, that time is cut by half. So, you can have one very long sample, or a comprehensive set of samples that do not add up to the above So that makes sense, doesn't it? Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have. I'm Old Nik. I'm Yours in Musik. ***Old Nik. I'm NOISEBUG.

In my case, this will be used mostly for external drums and computer audio clips that I will be using with the Elektron analog 4. Can this be used, or can the SP404 be used?

As for how sampling works on the 404, it is different than how it does on an electribe. There are two ways in which sampling is done. Find out what works best for you and then try it out

Does this work for 3/4 (i.e. If two beats make a bar, how many beats do triple beat bars make? that's a deal breaker. ?

I think so. Changing how many steps you take is possible. A default value of 16 is used. You get a 3/4 signature if you change it from 12 to 12

It has limitations, but it's an interesting instrument
4/5

The first thing we need to do In your view of making music, you sit on the couch and tap pads, changing sounds, and chaining together short patterns If you want to use this device, you are in the right place. you would rather use a regular MIDI keyboard, this device would allow you to work with it as well A portable idea creator, you drop beats on it, you might even tweak a few synth patterns, and then you move on to the next project. The concept of a track does not exist As a whole, there is part of it. A pad is a part, and you can assign a different sound to it for each section. I believe you can hear the sound when you tap the pad or when you control the volume. The following are a few different ways of making variations You can use the touchpad to move up and down a scale you set in the preference, or you can use the keyboard mode, which transforms the 16 pads into notes (using the same scale The upper row cannot be used for black keys because it is an octave long). If you have a midi keyboard connected, then you can play it. Every part can be either a synthesizer part, a sample or a rhythm part, such as drums, percussion, or anything else that might be useful to the track The device does not have any limitations, except some samples or instruments may take more than one voice, and the device supports 24 voices at the same time. But there is one catch The device is only capable of supporting 24 voices at once. It's important to remember that every time you use effects, you steal a voice, so even though you think you can play 24 concurrent notes, that may not be the case if you use effects on each part. It is nice that there is a variety of sounds The main problem is that you cannot add sounds, synth engines, samples or anything else to the game. It is impossible to alter the sounds included in the ROM of the device, so it is best to listen to the sounds to get an idea of if it will meet your needs. Several manufacturers have released a model of this device called a Samples that allow you to use your own There is no way to add additional synth presets to the sampler, so it is more suited to musicians that need a sampler box as opposed to There are no songs, you make patterns, which are 4 bars at most. This is tremendous in terms of limitations, considering that you can slow down tempo to get more notes, although these are quantized by default, so you have very little scope for variation. There is no way to make songs out of these, but you can work around it by chaining different patterns together, making longer patterns, and so forth. The first pattern A and the second pattern B can be chained, but if you want to add pattern C, you will Suppose you have ten patterns, and every one of them must link up to the next. This means you will chain each one individually. We need to make sure you won't change your mind later, as then we have to change the assignment for the chained patterns!
Unless you work with patterns in such a way every time you do your work, this will kill productivity Most of the time I use a DAW to create music, so for me, this is quite depressing when creating a full I am not sure why there is not a chain sequence mode, where you can put patterns in a chain and save them as a Then, you sadly have to wait till you can unlocked and decipher the firmware to get the latest update unless you can get the firmware unlocked and deciphered, you only get the 2016 version. Thumb sounds are OK. As well as the basic sound shapes, you get a mix of different types of shapes with effects In addition to the traditional instruments, there are a few digital ones such as brass and piano, but not much to be excited The device isn't great as a synth, however. The sound can be altered a bit, but the only controls you have are a pitch knob and a wave morph knob. It is left to do the work of filters, which are quite nice, as there are 3 types of filters, then envelopes and effects are provided it is left to do the work of envelopes You can get some good results through this method, but you will lose voice continuity. Several if not all of the effects use voices in their creation. To be honest, if you are intending to use this for its synth capabilities, you will be better off buying the Minilogue XD. This device is not intended to be used for this purpose. Obviously, this does not mean you cannot make great music on a portable device, but you have to be creative and think outside of the box. Portability is a huge benefit, and with a pair of headphones and 6 AA batteries, you're It is possible to save and load patterns but not sounds through the SD card slot. In that case, this device is a great alternative to more expensive and less portable grooveboxes (such as the Roland, which is a much better model, but it costs much more than this one) The sound may not be as good as some modules which add to the computer as computer modules, but if you wish to use this as a computer module, you can probably buy modules that have much better sounds. A device like this is perfectly suited for someone who is constantly on the move and makes very specific types of music on the go.

There are occasional playback issues, unlike my other e-book reader
4/5

I would like to give this five stars, but I am unable to do so In my experience, it has the newest firmware and seems to do a good job at everything when it is responding I am amazed at how well it performs for $400. This unit is not suitable for live sound because of timing and playback issues that occur from time to time with it. The only other person I know who has experienced these problems is me, so I wanted to let others know. In general, the unit plays the song when you play it, but sometimes it just doesn't want to listen. My play button has to be pressed more than a few times before it eventually works. There were times when it would never work and I had to try random songs before I would find one that would play and I would have to play a song that I didn't want to play and scroll down to the song that it refused to play before to find Occasionally, none of the songs work and I have to wait for a while while it figures out what to do. This paragraph summarizes This unit is fantastic and offers excellent value for the money. had to cut some corners to keep the price down, but they didn't have to take major ones. Making the bottom of the unit out of ABS plastic would be a very simple thing to do. So far, I've found the software to be reliable. It has been in my possession for a couple of years now and I use it almost every single day for hours. The number is usually between two and three, sometimes even I have never experienced any major issues with it. The only problem I've ever had was occasional playback problems, but no one else has had those problems and my other amplifier did not either, so perhaps it's just a one-off. There are times when it happens, but it is rare.

I have never had so much fun
5/5

When I get home from work, I bring this along to make loops on the train. This laptop case sits comfortably in my backpack or in any other laptop case of the same size. It has been powered by lithium AA batteries and I've used it nearly every day for months. Its construction is solid enough that I have almost no concern about it getting damaged while traveling. This software is very good, the DAC and headphone amp are wonderful. Unfortunately, the synth engine struggles when you have too many oscillators, envelopes and effects on at once, but there are multiple layers in order to accomplish that and the track is fine. The buttons have a very tactile feeling, and the LED UI elements become intuitive very quickly. There is excellent movement in the knobs as well, and detents are I also like the way the screen is laid out and that the backlight makes it easy to see. With the built-in, multi-purpose It consists of a color and a sound It is the cherry on top of the cake when the light show reacts. I guarantee it's the most enjoyable way to commute that you can have.

A fantastic groovebox that gets little attention
5/5

I am completely in love with this thing. It can record in two formats, mono or stereo, and sound great and has a ton of bass its virtual synths can create all kinds of sounds, and you can record motion parameters and LFOs. X pad) for live performance tweaking. There are only a few real complaints There is a possibility that the back lights will bother you on an airplane (which is dark), and the battery life and sample memory are not very good.

A synth I made as a kid
5/5

There is nothing better than this thing. Demos are included to take a look at and deconstruct and there are enough sounds to make almost anything you can imagine. As a beginner, as I've never used a synth before, I can say that it's a fairly easy instrument to learn. Despite being a beginner, I cannot compare it to anything else or find any serious flaws other than the lackluster documentation/user guide. I managed to build something decent after about two hours playing with it, and I think it has been helping me learn how synths Since it is a laptop with limited hardware and a steep learning curve, I have not been able to use a daw or midi controller.
