For over a decade, I've been a percussionist for marching percussion. From the mallets that I've used, I've got many different types. Many mallet manufacturers consider this to be among the best choices on the market. Over the past 15 years, I have taught percussion, and I will not allow students to use anything but these mallets. Fit for the weight and length. Their primary concern is their moisture repell, so they should be protected as much as possible. Wind and heat can lead to the felt heads inflating and warping. These mallets were used as a complement or alternative to the 22-24 bass drum I had lying around.
Feel right at home with them. Over the course of 30 years, I have become a drummer. My oldest son plays the bass drum now that he is a drummer. The mallet he needed for practice was already lent by the school, but he needed his own one. The Vic Firth sticks and mallets that I buy as well as those that I order for my home drums sets have always been from my marching years. My hands feel very fine after using these mallets. There is a lot of energy in their lives; The energy they bring to their roles is wonderful;; and As for my marching band/corp style playing requirement, this would serve us well. They both have balance and grip abilities.
Lastly, I'm going to give the facts: My order was totally different from the image and product description I received. The head was stained and there was no screw to hold it on, as seen in the picture below. A description and packaging mention that they can be used on basses aged 22 or older. There are more to the story than "26". These would be better suited to basses 18" in terms of performance. 22". They must be returned to me since I will e Vic Firth MB3- I hope the product this time works just as well as it did last time.
There was nothing out of the ordinary about the reports. There is also good quality.
There is nothing to complain about in this regard.
My expectation was high that my head would be easier. I liked the stick tho! Hold on to the order as long as possible. In Tubanos, you can buy them to use.
This is a piece my son loves playing the base drum for great effect.
