There is no way to use it as a speaker without music or with your own music, a real problem! To do karaoke, you must have their songs. Apple devices are the only ones that work
This was the worst product I have ever used, I couldn't find anything for days until I had to return Amazon on my own expense, and then it was a shame it didn't work as I bought it for my girlfriend. Madness is all over her face.
iPads and iPhones are not the only devices supported
It seems that I would also be able to do so, but I have not yet done so.

I was concerned because the box looked like it had been opened when I received it as a birthday gift. Neither a manual nor any other paperwork were inside the box. First, I tried pairing the microphone, and it did not work. In the end, I decided that I was using the manual correctly after downloading it. Changing the Philips batteries did no good, but I noticed that there was a lot of corrosion on them later on. I then noticed that one of the prongs on the battery receptacle had rust and corrosion completely covering it. After I sanded it down, the power started to come back on. After that, I was able to use Apple's software without any problems. A microphone could not be paired directly with an iPad, but my Android phone was able to pair with it and use it. As long as you use the StarMaker software and the speaker box with an iPad, this is a good The flexibility I was hoping for would have been nice.
THIS APP WILL ONLY WORK WITH OLD IPAD devices. You will only see a 30 pin connector at one point, so pay attention to that spot. I don't like the software, which is a personal choice. While plugged in, it won't charge your pad even though you can record. It seems to focus on recording your videos and sharing them online.
This was returned to the sender. I bought it because I didn't own an iPhone but wanted to enjoy my family. With an older iPad, it was a real struggle to get it The presentation could not be completed in a sideways orientation. I like the design of it. The bag is easy to carry and light. Featuring a handle and no cord, this microphone is comfortable to hold and could be a great tool. A few small adjustments are needed, however. In comparison to traditional karaoke machines, this machine is excellent for its price.
There may be an outdated version of the app for this. My iPad did not have access to this application. There is an app similar to it that I can This was due to the lousy volume and inability to turn it This can only be used with purchased songs, otherwise you will just be singing the same song over and over again to earn stars that can be used to purchase songs. This makes it very difficult to enjoy it and will take up a lot of time.
You will not be able to talk. The microphone only works to record. You will not be able to hear your voice in real time when you are speaking through the speakers.
There was something wrong with this for me. In advance, I must state that I have not read any Okay, this works fine as a karaoke machine. First of all 2015, and the item came specifically to connect to the 30 pin port on my iPad. My iPad has not had a 30 pin port in over three Some kind of attachment should be provided at least. There is one I have, but it makes my iPad stick up in such a way that the stand cannot support it, so Another thing to keep in mind is that the microphones will only work with the Starmaker app. As a result, it can't be used to sing your own songs. If you use the speaker with it solo, it won't work either. There is no use for the microphone unless you are using it on STARMAKER. The speaker box itself allowed for music to be played that wasn't from the app, but the microphone itself is useless. I was really bummed out after hearing that. I don't think the sound is very good. I am like a banana when my microphones have a one second delay half the time. In sum, I was not aware that this app had limitations before I purchased it that was my fault. I don't think they can be sent back at this point since my husband has thrown away all of the stuff and it is a huge hassle.
In addition, the microphone does not work and the song selections are not that good. This is not something I would recommend for that reason.
I got this as a family gift, so now the family is singing. I can't use my iPhone or my iPad. It's an okay app, but to access the vast majority of the songs you need to subscribe. This should be explained at the beginning. Occasionally the vocals you sing don't come across very clearly on the recording, it could be the mic or where they are holding it, but part of the fun is the singing and figuring out how to hit.
