What is in question are the dimensions in the description. Obviously, the image is not 6". What difference does the size make? Probably the depth, though the picture is clearly not 6". As indicated by other answers, the depth is 18 inches, which is what one would expect. There might be an update to the product description for this product and the 12U product.

A vertical hole spacing that complies with the EIA/ECA This is 310
5/5

In E 1, translate the following Standard rack unit size 75 inches (RU). I have a Samson SRK21, and the vertical hole spacing pattern matches the RU size. From 75 to An inch Rack Unit specification (formally a RU or colloquially a U) appears on standard telecommunication, server, and audio racks, cabinets, panels, and Amazon or Samson don't make this clear on any of their websites, tech specs, or datasheets, despite the fact that the SRK21 rack conforms to the spec of the standard. There are 21 RUs on the SRK21, or 36 in all. The racks have 75 inches of height The space can be mounted. A RU is 75" square and a 36" square is a RU. This is 75 inches long. It is generally accepted to be 1. )

From 75 to Hole specs in the same standard) and the holes are equally spaced 5/8" apart, After that, every group of three holes is separated from other groups of three holes by 1/2", or when measured from the center of each hole. When you don't keep track of where one RU begins or ends in the vertical hole spacing, you may see some holes that appear to be off center. In order to keep track of each rack unit, find three holes equally spaced apart, or count three holes at a time from the bottom of the rack to the top. easiest way to determine where a RU starts or ends is to look for any two holes that are 1/2" apart - a RU begins or ends halfway between two holes 1/2" apart. A 75" RU spec is issued by the EIA/ECA This is 310. A 19-inch flat panel display must meet the E standard A collaboration between the former Electronic Industries Association (EIA) and the former Electronic Components Association (ECA) initially led to the creation of equipment that is one inch wide. The 310-year period has seen these organizations undergo a number of name changes and mergers The most recent revision to the E standard was made In addition to these new organizations, the Electronic Components Industry Association (ECIA) is also located in Mercer County. As far as I am aware, this particular standard is still in the hands of the ECIA, but it is still called the EIA/ECA-H This is 310. The new naming scheme is based on the E standard, despite the legacy naming scheme. *NB*BR*BR *(Note The fact that Samson ships two sets of mounting screws in no way relates to any of this An ISO (Metric) screw is similar to an ANSI (Imperial) screw. As an additional feature, Sampson ships all mounting rails with two sides as well On one side of each rail is a hole for screws in accordance with ANSI standards, and on the other side is a hole for screws in accordance with ISO standards. Regardless of the side of the mounting rail that has the ANSI mounting holes or the ISO mounting holes, the vertical hole spacing is the same between both sides.

The carpet rolls along with it! It scared me a little when I first took it out of the box because it seemed so thin
4/5

Initially, it was a little wobbly (at least with the 21 space version) because it is rather tall. There are some details that take some work to put together yourself you would benefit from a helping hand. It took me some trial and error (and a lot of patience) to figure it out on my own. I found the instructions unclear (as other reviewers have also pointed out), but you will be fine if you take your time and make sure that the rack screws you want to use for your setup (US or European) fit the side of the rails which is facing out. In addition, you will want to hand-thread all the screws carefully as it is very easy to cross-thread them Take the thread and loop it through. Keep all of the assembly screws a little loose to square things up, then tighten them down with a tool at the end. This was the advice of other reviewers. If you don't go slow with the electric driver and make sure not to overtorque things, I wouldn't suggest using it for assembly. It took three screws to assemble the case. One screw hole did not seem to be properly tapped, so I used a rackmount screw provided rather than the I found it very easy to put together. Anyway, once it's put together straight and square, the screws are tightened, and especially after part of the gear is put In this way, the "flimsy" is gone. This is particularly true if you also mount some items on the back side (like rack shelves and A good portion of it is filled with stuff, and it is very sturdy. There is no wrinkling on the carpet as it rolls around. That's what I like about it, I'm sure. There is a lot of value for the money. Even though it's not as well made as something you'd find in a corporate server room, this rack cabinet is a decent option for the amateur or hobby audiophile. It should be noted that the front-view has the following characteristics There is only an 18" depth in back of the unit, which is quite generous for This will likely stick out the back of your cabinet if you plan on storing any computer equipment in it. That could be a problem for you or not. There is also a minimum depth of 20" for sliding rack rails, so you won't be able to install those in this cabinet It is likely that you will need some form of support in the back or immediately beneath the deeper / heavier items. If you want to use a lot of weight, you shouldn't rely entirely on the four front screws.

This is a very good deal for the price
5/5

I used a drill on the lowest setting to make it. This set is damn near perfect for the price. I used a drill at the lowest setting and it didn't strip any holes as far as I am aware But other reviewers are right, it is better to be safe rather It should be fixed without stripping the threads with bolts and nuts if you do strip the threads. Additionally, ensure that all screws are lightly tightened before fully tightening them so that everything fits Although the alignment was a little off, the fit was good nonetheless. As for the misalignment, I think it is worth noting that it was not so insignificant that it triggered my OCD,

The screws used in the US are thinner. Make sure your answer is correct if you have doubts. The rails must be screwed in before the screws are set. In order to mount heavy equipment in this unit, you want to make sure you don't mount it on the top. I have the 21U. There is a possibility that it could topple Though the wheels are not as smooth as I would have liked, it still There will be a wobble in the unit until you insert everything. As far as the racks that you put in servers, I would recommend that you insert the 1U cover in the middle of the back because I have found that even though the front was fully occupied, the back portion still flexed until I screwed the 1U cover in. Since I've been here, I haven't had a complaint. Although it is a bit frightening when you know exactly how many screws they have inserted into your equipment, everything went in perfectly.

I think that it is a I was able to fit my 12U rack under the counter under my sound board
5/5

I enjoyed how small the box was and how easy it was to assemble. The kit comes with one filler plate and all of the screws you need to assemble it. This product includes a bag containing rack screws and washers in both European and US Regardless of the size of the rack, it can be assembled.
