I just wanted to let everyone Cables, as they are called, are simply stranded wires with pin tips attached. If your stash goes missing, ordinary 22 or 24 AWG *solid* wire will work just fine, in an emergency. Those little rubber grippy tips are easily found in the Electronics Department by searching for "jumpers" and clicking on them. There are 50 pieces in each box. Prices typically range from $10 to $20.

Okay, I get that modular synths aren't for the faint of heart We are eating fast food in the form of acoustic music. Although I understand the differences from other methods (and why this is less intuitive), I find West Coast modular design to be intriguing. You won't tweak vanilla - I get that It's a tasty two-in-one Having such a device produced oscillator saw timbres is very intriguing to me. I understand the patching won't always be apparent, and I understand what it takes to make such a machine work. Although the machine is sold as part of a line of portable, beginner-friendly machines, (Hi, how are you? Who will speak? How much battery power does a battery have? Where is the VOLCA Synchronization button? Do you have money under What is the difference between a touch-screen and a keyboard? -) music production devices (especially with so many great units), to have this indifferent, hardly even ambient, experimental characteristic that isn't easily integrated Is that the device that comes down the pipeline (and what follows? Could this be the FOURTH percussion volta? SIXTH if you take into account how well the FM does drums), but if you look at the designs, you realize that Korg has really lost any sense of innovation or creativity. Oh, and I just wanted to mention one more thing about the "un-" Modular synthesizers like the Behringer Neutron and Crave) this model has no MIDI input (in case you happen to be thinking you might be able to squeeze some sounds Although, apparently, in an attempt to be "authentic", the unit includes CV capability (because Volca users are very sure to use that 60-year-old standard for everything). As an alternative. Is that so? There is the sense that Korg has simply become lax. Are you looking for true You can get the Behringer Crave or Neutron for the same price. For Korg to restore its engineering ranks to its former glory, they will need more innovative thinking. It almost makes me ashamed for them, coming from an engineer.
It is a strange contraption in the Volca family, but it offers an interesting entry into "west coast" synthesizers. People may be disappointed if they expect this to be the comparable of a There is no possible way to get to it. I come up with sounds that are generally out of this world. In this unit, you are encouraged to experiment, patch, tweak, and see what you can come up with. You'd have to spend a lot of money on Buchla and Verbos, but with this product you're better off. You're going to find that it sounds nothing like I've ever seen The first time I logged into the site, I felt let down, but upon closer inspection, searching for tips, and getting a better understanding of the modules (what about woggle? I have grown to like.
I have yet to find any enjoyment in my 5th (and least favorite) Volca
Maybe I need to spend more time with it
But so far, it isn't much fun when compared to my other Volcas or modular setups.
This is a very entertaining and interesting Volca from the line. This is a great introduction to the world of synthesis and modular instruments. It's fun to discover and discover new things.
Since I bought this thing I have been able to get great sounds out of it. I really enjoy using this. It's easy and Moog's Werkstatt is a great complement to this package.
), so it works remarkably well for me. A move like this is incredibly brave on the part of Korg, something that anyone familiar with the genre should be able to understand. It's not as good as a Buchla Music Easel or Make Noise Shared system, but it's a great deal for The price is below that of most affordable subtractive synthesis monosynths, but I will say I have some criticisms the timbre palette is somewhat limited (and it may just be my learning curve) with only only a triangle wave to modulate. It does a lot, but it is missing square, saw, and especially sine wave options. The envelopes and low pass gates are responsive enough played from the sequencer, but keyboard control or external CV seem to trigger more slowly, and key board levels are considerably louder than others. However, even though it may be a learning curve issue with this little box, not all of the features like envelopes and functions generate the way I expect them to. When you can get this for as little as a tenth or twentyth of the price of similar modular systems, how can you not be impressed? As long as you understand what these are meant to do.
The Volcas are one of the best budget synths on the market. The technology here is a powerful set of compact electronic music tools that can easily be integrated with other Korg products. With the Volca Modular, you'll be more than satisfied!.
