I think this is a great viola for the price. It's good to have a bow. As soon as I switched to synthetic strings, I noticed a difference in sound. I did not like the sound of the steel strings. I was able to get a crisp, clear sound after changing the strings. There are four strings for easy response. This Viola is the first student violin I have tried, and the two previous ones were inferior. The quality of this brand is much higher than the inexpensive student brands on the market. It was originally my intention to write a 3 star review that was not really in favor of My daughter has played her viola for a month, and we have now changed our opinions about it. Despite the poor quality of the bow and strings, I still find them to be too small. The G string snapped after about a month of playing ( practices and no tuning ).
The viola was out of tune for the first few weeks and did not stay in tune well. In addition to the sound, I found it funny too. It's now possible to keep the instrument in tune and it sounds much In addition to fine tuners, we purchased fine tuners for my daughter, who is a junior orchestra violist (beginner I think the case will be all right in the end. Having straps allows you to carry it like a backpack is nice. I am proud of my daughter for having a viola.
I recommend it. All in all, I think this is quite a good viola considering the price.

Recently my daughter took the viola to her music teachers so that it could be tuned before we returned the rented viola. After the tuning, the viola sat unused for a long time. She was told by her music teachers that the instrument wasn't built to be tuned and that it was untuneable. This violin had issues with the bridge, the finger board and the pegs. We found they weren't positioned correctly and the finger board was not cut correctly. Overall, we were told to do no repair on this viola since it was very poorly built. After I tried to get in touch with the seller, they stopped responding to me after refusing to accept the instrument back. I have ever had a terrible experience with Amazon!.

All I can say is that I bought a size 15 and I bought a small. My iphone 5 was a size 5 and the case they sent me was a size 16, but that wasn't that important to me as it's well wrapped, and I was planning on buying a case anyway. I was really impressed with how well the instrument was crafted. In fact, we had to replace the strings that came with the instrument as well as fine tune the It is still a challenge for my son as he went from a size 11 to a size 16 because of the size of the viola. This instrument was highly regarded during previous reviews, so we bought it based on those ratings.
