Within seconds of opening the case, I realized I had made a massive mistake - I needed an electric violin so badly It is still selling despite the great reviews it has received from A few places on the viola had stain missing the most obvious was a section where the stain was missing The varnish looks somewhat uneven, as if it had been completely missed, or possibly chipped or rubbed off prior to applying the varnish. In addition, the varnish had obvious drips and runs in it, as if it had been applied too much at once, and the viola was hung to dry while the varnish was still thick and wet, causing it to slump and run. Another bad twist holder event took almost 10 minutes to fix. One bow was hung up so badly, it took almost an operation to fix it. Taking it out of the case requires precision. To simply cut off the horse hair would have damaged the bow beyond repair. It was so entangled that it would have destroyed the bow. In addition to the neck and scroll appearing to be constructed of 2"X2" yellow pine, the detail on the hand made scroll looked like it had been carved from the same This is ugly. it was stated in the product description that there was no tuner OR additional strings supplied with the instrument. My sixth complaint is that I had to pay return shipping on a substandard instrument that did not come with all the accessories it was advertised with. In the case where I were simply disappointed with the instrument, I could understand paying the shipping cost however, poor quality and missing items are NOT my fault, and I cannot be punished for circumstances that I cannot It is so disappointing to me to receive As a result of reading the reviews, I felt as if I was informing my purchase well. It could be that I received a viola that was defective. There's no way to know for sure. I will never again invest in a Cecilio instrument, nor recommend one to anyone.

There is nothing I don't like about this instrument. It looks very nice, the sound is rich and deep, but the pegs and finer tuners on mine are a little stiff -but that could be because it's For the price, this is an amazing instrument!.

When the pegs were first cleaned and then graphite applied, they didn't want to turn, but now they do. I like the sound of the viola very much, and it seems to be very well made. Having never played any other viola, I cannot compare it with any other, but I am very happy with this one and would recommend it to any musician.

I purchased it for $399, and it sounds great at that price point. The only problems I had were the strings, case, and My system for tuning the strings could not be worked out no matter what method I used. In addition to the Helicores, I purchased a set of them as well. Furthermore, the viola's case is a bit too big for it. In the event I dropped the case with the viola inside, it would probably break due to the amount of space inside. A brief interval of time is spent tuning the tuner. It takes about a second for it to turn on after I put the batteries in. I can't turn on my computer because the power button doesn't work. I ordered the 1-liter, under the assumption that it would be the same as the 2-liter I've got the one piece back, but I'm missing two A piece of the puzzle The 1-is actually not my favorite You may not be able to get the piece back, but if you Aside from that, consider Helicores at this price to be a real bargain.
