Selected User Reviews For Vandoren LC58GP M/O Ligature and Plastic Cap for Tenor Saxophone; Gold Plated

I cannot believe what a difference it makes! Using this ligature, the user will have more breath because it changes how the body breathes
5/5

It was obvious that the tone had changed immediately, but the real change occurred at a time when you started feeling a bit The event did not happen, and I gained strength in the process. As a result of the performance, I was in a better frame of mind than before. It had not occurred to me that the ligature made such a significant I should have gotten it 10 out of 10 The last time we did this was 15 years If you're a teacher, you'll need this book. It is a Vandoren Jumbo T75 w/Vandoren Java (green) three and a half inches in height. Zephyr, the white.

A review of Jazz Saxophonist
3/5

It fits my Otto Link Vintage series just barely, so be sure to first measure the mouthpiece you're planning on using. Now there are tons of ligatures out there that claim to change the sound of your voice, but for me this isn't one of them, which is great. However, it would have been nice if the screw had been a bit Additionally, I am having a difficult time finding back up mouthpiece caps to fit this ligature regular American Plating caps don't work because they are not inverted, and Rovner caps are too big to fit. * As far as its actual function, I would say it definitely beats the ligature that came with my equipment. Using it together with a french cut/french file reed has the effect of making your tone more consistent. The opposite happens as well you don't notice a big change in your sound, and again, I find that to be a good thing. It is something I will use at my gigs, since it is so convenient. As for the other ligatures I have, like my Rovner, my sound will be too muffled.

The ligature is similar to Rocker Dark, but it is not quite It is beautifully shaped to fit the reed, but I am pleased with my Rocker Dark Tenor Ligature, which produces a better, more consistent may be more accurate to say that I'm relatively new and haven't totally mastered my embouchure yet, but after using both multiple times, I have had more success playing my Rocker with Hopefully the situation will change in a year or two when I update

This ligature is not something that I have any complaints about
5/5

I like the fact that this ligature seems quite sturdy and that the cap seems to help it to stand out. In spite of the fact that the ligature shows heavy signs of oxidation after use for a few months, it does show some damage. It starts looking worn and scratched off to some extent if the finish of the ligature becomes somewhat worn and scratched off. The rustic look makes it look cool and gives it a vintage feel) I personally don't mind this at all. In addition to this, I like that it only has one screw instead of two, and yet still has a tight grip. Neither when I put on my mouthpiece nor when I have to play or make adjustments, my reeds do not move.

The construction and fit of this product were cheap and poorly done
3/5

The Vandoren T45 Jumbo Java mouthpiece would not accept my other ligatures, so I purchased this one. I ordered this ligature and I must say that for the money I paid it is very cheaply made and not even worth It was a 99-cent price. I am not so sure if I would buy it for $20 again. A further issue is that the cradle created for the reed sits too deep for some types of You won't get a return on investment.

A great mouthpiece but made for the Vandoren mouthpiece
4/5

As some other writers have pointed out, I agree Optimum tenor mpcs are best suited for this ligature, as they are small and best for Vandorens. You can fit it on a Yamaha 4C tenor mpc, but only just. This is a really simple, but effective design. The "double screw" helps to keep the reed in place, and the recessed slots ensure that it is oriented If it were available in different sizes, I would want to buy it.

A preferred ligature should be used
5/5

This is why the alto/tenor players in my household prefer these ligatures to the traditional 2-inch ligatures It seems more sensible to use screw-based ligatures as opposed to the seemingly more advanced fabric The shaped indents of the metal bands keep the reed from moving around better than basic ligatures or fabric straps, they say. With one screw, not only is it easier to manipulate than two screws, but one screw also simplifies the assembly of the mouthpiece It is ligature-related. The reed assembly is easier to grip and manipulate when tuning the instrument (positioning the mouthpiece more or less on the neck) as the screw does not get in the way of fingers like two screws.

Rubber mouthpieces are not compatible with this product! Don't be foolish! The fit is awful! I've tried all the hard rubber mouthpieces that I have, but it doesn't fit
3/5

There should be more truth in the advertising. I have owned this ligature for clarinet for several years now, and I love it because it fits every mouthpiece I've tried it on (despite it being advertised as fitting "Master's" mouthpieces Consequently, I bought two - one for alto and one for Here is the catch they are way too small on Otto Links, Meyers, and Vandoren, spare me a bit of your pain! Become more honest in your advertising! You won't find any information about this on this site or Vandoren's site!.
