My knowledge of the subject is limited. As for sound quality, it does give a nice, mellow sound, and fits nicely on my Yanigasawa mouthpiece. Considering it's a fabric, it molds quite well to the mouthpiece, so I think most standard size mouthpieces will work with it.
I don't know if there will be a chance. There are 4 different mouthpieces in my collection, which each take a different Rovner ligature, therefore there is no need for them all. I have a Kessler that's jazz MP themed and shaped like a torpedo. I have a Selmer 190 that produces a more controlled tone thanks to its fat body. Com), but it appears to be A Rovner ligature came with my Rousseau 6R MP, so I am assured of a good fit and comfort. You can reach Rovner directly if you want.

My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a good cap to go with it, but other than that, it is a great product. As far as the cap goes, it's just a cheap plastic, which is a good temporary fix until I can get a better one. I feel that this is a great ligature, because I've received a lot of compliments on my tone quality since I purchased it. For only $24 you get a great deal.
The writing is consistent and well-written An excellent product, made to last. This is a fantastic I've had all the others before and it works just as well. The construction is of high quality. We love that it comes with a sturdy cover for the mouthpiece. It works great with the Yamaha YAC1295 5C mouthpiece I ordered that came with it.
Due to the fact that we have two daughters who play saxophone, we have bought this twice in tenor and twice in bari sizes, respectively. They have become a cult among the girls.
As you would expect from Rovner, the ligature itself is of excellent quality. However, the description should include a caution if the mouthpiece is thin or thinner and designed for use with the bari sax ligature. Using this ligature requires a very thin mouthpiece, such as a Yamaha or a Rico. To make sure the tenor saxophone ligature fits, you will need to buy one.
I was able to use my Yamaha 4C mouthpiece without any problems. Although I would like it to hold the reed closer.
My 12 year old sax needed repairs, but it still wasn't working well at the end of the day, so I replaced the original rather warped metal ligature with this one. I've had this instrument for two weeks now, and I have never experienced a more silky, controlled sound than I do now. The sound is pretty nice, maybe not for the marching band, but great for the concert band.
I bought it as a gift for my little brother who plays guitar. I'm not sure what the gift is for, but he asked for it and he loved it so it worked out. Thanks for reading! Five out of five.
It has an even pressure distribution, a good sound quality, and is easy to use.
