If necessary, nbsp do not know if I have a defective unit, but I purchased this swab 2 months ago and it does not seem to be doing its job. In order to maintain its shape, it does not have a sponge attached.

I like this swab a lot! Since I've been playing saxophone for 30 years, this is the best swab I've found! Swabs are often handkerchiefs made from shadows, silks or microfibers

With this one you will be sure to keep a round shape that swabs the inside of the horn by keeping the edges against the inside. This is a great swab to clean the horn with!.

Getting stuck or ripping could result in damage

In the first few seconds after getting this swab, I tested it and found that it ripped from the small tube inside the top body of the saxophone once it reached the top of the instrument. Possibly my saxophone is causing the problem, but I don't know for sure. Instead of using a cotton swab for my saxophone body, I now use a silk swab. An ordinary silk swab will do the trick.

The chamois fabric used to make these items has been discontinued. It is misleading to see the picture of the item. Chamois is no longer used in the swabs they are now made from In the description, it says that the swabs expand to contact the entire bore, but this is no longer true. (You will have to search for a long time to find a photo of what is being shipped right now. ) At $25, the You can find all kinds of "microfiber" swabs for much less money elsewhere. My packaging indicated that this was better than nothing, so I did not return the item. got a new saxophone the same day and had to.

Swabs are used to clean surfaces

My alto sax was properly dried with this swab since it is well constructed and designed to remove moisture. This is one of the things I like the most. Is good at what she does.
