This swab is free of wires. Necks and mouthpieces are the best places to use this. The cords are stiff, but they don't have any wires in them. The BG A30A has foam inside the swab to keep it expanded, as well as a longer cord with a weight that allows it to pull through the entire body.
This swab is not designed to pass through the neck. In fact, I had to trim the tenor swab because it would get stuck in the upper part of the horn if it wasn't inserted with as few folds as possible. I trimmed about 25% from the swab periphery of the swab periphery of the swab periphery of the swab% Even the alto swab won't pass through the neck because these swabs are thick.

Swab is well-made, and it captures all of the moisture in my tenor in a single pass. However, be careful how you load it, ensuring that the cord is on top and the rest of the swab is aligned with it. Without the proper set-up, I got it stuck on my first try. up, and getting out of the horn was difficult. Having said that, I think it's a great swab, and I've never had any problems with it. With every purchase, they should include some basic instructions.
Unlike other swabs, you must go from the bell to the neck, and you cannot simply shove it in the bell and pull. If it isn't feathered out, it will become stuck. When it got really jammed in horn around palm keys, I had to learn the hard way.
This swab does the job well and has a weighted end that allows you to pull it out of either end of your tenor sax. It's also a good size.
It's simple to use and removes all of the horn's inside wet spots.
I think it needs to be a little bigger because it doesn't seem to make enough contact with the surface.
My horn tech recommended this product over all others of its kind. It appeals to me a great deal. This is an excellent product.
My son is content, exactly as described.
