Yes, it is correct. Fabric covers the weight so it doesn't clank against the thumb and register pipes when it falls through. The key is to roll the clarinet in such a way that the holes are facing up. The swab has a snug fit, which I prefer. Before ordering mine, I read a review and agree that one or two passes through the instrument are all that is required to thoroughly clean and dry it.
I put it on my flute and it fit perfectly.
On my Bb, I use the standard size. Clarinets are a type of instrument that is used to play music.
On my Bb, I've never used anything but the regular. Clarinets are a type of instrument that is used to play music.

I put the weight in the bell and run the swab through the clarinet upside down and out through the mouthpiece because it's quite thick. That is not how it gets stuck.
She used the swab that came with her first clarinet two years ago on a regular basis. That clarinet had some problems that the technician couldn't fix, so it was replaced with another - as well as a new (and different) swab Because she despised it, she only used it on rare occasions. We decided to invest in her own because she will be playing for a long time, and this is nearly identical to the original swab (except for the brand). Her clarinet is being swabbed on a regular basis once more.
This swab was recommended by my clarinet teacher, so I bought it, and boy am I glad I did! It has a long, weighted cord (with the weight hidden so it won't damage your instrument's insides) and a large square of silky microfiber fabric for thorough wiping. It's fast-paced. It dries quickly between swabs, and I've hand-washed it several times already; it does the job!.
It has a little more heft than silk swabs, and I feel like I'm getting my clarinet drier than I was with silk swabs. It hasn't caught inside the horn for me yet. There is a pulley on the cord. The swab can easily be fed through the horn because of its weight.
In May of this year (2019), I purchased a Vandoren swab for my clarinet. It worked fine for three months and kept my clarinet dry, but then the weight fell out of the pocket that held it, rendering the sway useless. This was very disappointing for me as a long-time user of Vandoren products. Vandoren was contacted, and I sent them a photo of the swab, and they promptly sent me a new swab. This one works, but it frayed after a short period of time. Oh well! In November, however, I continue to use it. 2020.
If you want a swab that won't get stuck in your clarinet, this is the one to get. You are the recipient of this swab! Do you want a swab that will absorb every spit from your musical mouth? You'll love this swab! br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: It's been nearly three years since I've used this swab. It's still in immaculate condition! It would absorb every drop of liquid in your clarinet, just like when you first bought it. I bought it solely for the swab's quality! It's still going strong after all these years.
The weight has been completely removed from the equation. I've been using them for a long time. The ribbon pull covers the weight of my clarinet completely, and the microfiber protects it. Langenus mouthpieces are resistant to damage and effectively absorb condensation.
A silky swab is preferred by some clarinetists. This Vandoren swab would be ideal for them. Personally, I prefer something that is more absorbent and capable of wiping out the mess in one or two passes. my clarinet's run-throughs For me, this swab was a letdown. I'll go out and find someone else who might be interested in it, and then I'll give it to them.
