I also use a small amount on the tenon joint of my saxophones and have never had a problem with it. I'd recommend wetting a clean cloth with cleaning alcohol instead of the tenon. It's best to use it sparingly and avoid getting any on the lacquer. Why use cork grease if your neck can be assembled without it?
Both clarinets and saxophones are played with it. It is superior in my opinion, and when used sparingly, it helps to keep the cork clean and there is minimal buildup even after months of use.
It's the cork in my Irish flute that I use it on. It appeals to my tastes. There's also a pleasant aroma to it. In my metal flute, I don't use it.

It also didn't do a good job of conditioning the cork, so I had to grease it EVERY SINGLE TIME I went to play. Not surprising for a new instrument, but I had been using the same stick for another well-known instrument. I had the same problem as seasoned. Finally, disgusted, I ordered Vandoren cork grease because I'd used it in high school and it's always been a great product that works just as well now as it did then. I don't waste as much when I apply the tube directly to the corks because it's thicker and the stick is harder. My new instrument is now well on its way to having properly aged corks. Thank you for providing such a high-quality item!.
This is an incredible product. This is fantastic information! This is something I'm glad I purchased. This is something else you should get. This is excellent advice for waxing a clarinet's cork. This was a complete nightmare. I can't write a fair review on Amazon because they won't let me. One tube arrived empty, and it took a month for me to receive what I had paid for.

I've been using Vandoren's cork grease for several years and can honestly say it's a superior product; a light coat every time I put the Buffet or Selmer together helps prevent excessive tightness when the joint swells in warm weather. It also maintains the cork's suppleness and cleanliness. There are less expensive options, but none that I've found come close to matching the quality.
We are unable to substitute the item because one of the tubes is excellent. The other one was completely devoid of any cork creases. Oh, my goodness! As a result, I'm writing this review because I believe we were duped. Only one cork grease was included in the two-item deal. If anyone is reading this, please let me know. I'll gladly accept a full bottle of cork grease in exchange for the empty one. That would be fantastic, and I will adjust my rating accordingly.
Yes, there's a clarinet. She was in desperate need of some cork oil. What's the difference between the various cork greases? as well as flavors My Trombone and a cheap clear slide oil (mineral or synthetic) are two things I miss. In any case, she claims that this stuff is superior to the stick that came with her school's "kit" instrument.
My son's alto saxophone is perfect for it.
