The bass strings can be used on both 1/2 scale and 4/4 scale basses. Ideally, to increase the tension on a 1/2 scale bass, you'll want to use the largest 4 strings in the set. It is my hope that this information will be helpful. I will be happy to answer any further questions you may have. Please note Superior Bassworks, Brandon
Maybe, but these strings were made for slapping country bumpkin style music

Initially, I played with a full set of Innovation wound nylons, but they tore up my fingers pretty badly after a while, and I wasn't really satisfied with the action I was getting. I switched to these when my bridge broke, and it changed my life. I prefer the rubber coated slap with these because they're way easier on my fingers, they have great action, and they don't strain my bridge as much. In all honesty, let's face it. There is a lot of value here. The only issue I have with them is that they drift out of tune at any given moment. Announcing an update A month or so after my issue began, I realized it was just The overall quality of these is excellent. Five stars are now available.
The strings on this upright bass are cheap plain We will not expect too much from them, so it is natural not to expect too much from My 1961 Kay C-style has these strings, but I put them on the boat. It's the first nylon string I've ever used and it has the best tone of any nylon strings I've ever It amazes me that I've tried at least five other brands of nylon strings in the last 25 years, and these ones sound, play, wear, and tune better than any other that I've ever I'm positive you'd be impressed with how cheap they are under $50 each! The set I am using has been played approximately 1,400 times. I play about 200 gigs a year, so that means that it has been played quite often. The music I play varies from country, rock n roll, hillbilly jazz, and hard-driving rockabilly, lasting approximately 45 minutes. The strings are a superb purchase for me, as I'm ruthless when it comes to slapping the bass. Nevertheless, their tone is still refined enough to be recorded in a With a nice mic (Sennheiser 421) on the f hole, the bass sounds great Whenever I play my bass through an amp, which is most of the time, I use a preamp to accentuate some of the mid frequencies so it sounds a lot like I'm I don't think it sounds like a rubber band or spanky. Many bassists are surprised to find out that my stings are nylon when they ask me about my set up. The gut strings appear to be similar to these, In order to help these guys remain in business, I should probably buy another set just to be protected in case something happens to my dear Kay. *This is a high quality product, bottom line. If you're into upright bass, GET THESE STRINGS, if for no other reason than a cheap set of backup I wish you all the best!.
The first thing I want to point out is that I'm not a bass player all the time, so steel strings hurt my fingertips after 30 minutes. A pair of these were purchased for the NS Designs NXT upright machine. I run them through my Fender Rumble 100 and they sound amazing. The steel strings they had on it weren't as loud as the upright strings. My strings play amazing and I can play them for hours on end without issue. They would make a good string to start with. *The following points should be taken into consideration Despite the gauge being larger compared to a "normal" steel string, they are not much heavier. are not compatible with the factory tuners on NS basses. It turned out that I had to modify another set of tuners in order to get these to It was a bit of a risk, but I'm glad I took it. This is something I'd like to do Due to their additional flexibility, people who are accustomed to steel strings might feel like rubber bands when playing these strings. Once again, I love them, but I'm not 100% in love with them As a bass player, for many years.
A 2x4 upright bass that I made out of 2x4s was used for these. You can pick 4 consecutive strings from the pack based on how much you want to play on the E string from the pack, all of which come with 6 strings in total. A more in-depth explanation can be found on their site. In contrast to my wire wound strings on my double bass, the strings on this bass feel more natural. I was looking for synthetic gut, and these fit the bill.
Installed a pair on my beater 41' Kay and am very happy with it. The sound is great, and the looks are great, too. This is a very finger friendly interface. Roots, rockabilly, bluegrass, and such music go extremely well with this tape.
I seem to be pleased with the.
The steel strings are still my preferred instrument for jazz music, but these are well-made and affordable for players who want to get "thwack, thwack, thwack" out of their bass.
The strings are good You have to stretch them and keep them in tune for some time, as others have said.
