I'm sorry, but I'm not familiar with the subject. It was a present for my granddaughter, who is learning to play the violin for the first time. This item, like the others we bought for her, came highly recommended. Accessories can be quite expensive.

It results in a. Hill dark rosin was my first choice. It has a scratchy, rough tone to it. This lighter rosin has a nicer sound and almost as good a grip on the string.
My daughter was recommended by her violin teacher. She stated that it performs as expected.
Rosin that is of high quality.
Excellent product at an excellent price.
Good rosin, but it shattered into a million sharp pieces when my daughter dropped it on the carpet. It had to be microwaved and melted back together in order to be salvaged.
My fav. Rosin with a low residue. I've tried a few that seemed to clog the strings. With Hill, there are no issues!.
On the electric violin I learned on, I used a low-quality rosin. The dust buildup was terrible, but thanks to the polyurethane finish, cleanup was a breeze. I had purchased a beautiful acoustic guitar with a hand-rubbed oil finish and did not want any build-up on it. Hill light rosin leaves a fine residue on the strings that is easy to clean and leaves no residue on the body or fingerboard; it also grabs the hair well. Two thumbs up for this article.
