I have been playing with some different rosins, and this is by far the best one. It seems to have a good grip, not to dusty, and is not too expensive. For those allergic to pine sap, try Jade Rosin, or other hypoallergenic ones. There is enough grip on this rosin for fiddling, and it is also suitable for Violas and Cellos. Despite its deeper hue, this rosin does not have a rough sound. These rosins perform far better than their cheaper counterparts. Several lighter rosins are better suited for gripping, but they make a lot of dust, while some dark (black) rosins allow me to grip the violin better and cause less dust, but they create a gritty sound. Those who play where it is very cold (below 45 f) or very humid may want a darker rosin, but for the most part this will quickly become one of their Make sure not to overrosin the violin, and to take care when putting the violin away to clean the strings. It is as bad as not applying enough rosin to your bow if there is built up rosin on the strings. The rosin that comes with this violin and bow is so good and versatile that it should be included with every new instrument.
I like this brand of violin rosin because it is inexpensive. My daughter likes it too. In tests she conducted with two other brands, she found this one to be her favorite. Besides sticking well to the bow, it is easy to wash. Despite the fact that it is small and has a relatively low price, ordering more than one is a good idea if you intend to use it daily.
It also comes with a convenient slipcase You're covered. bought a new violin and the Rosin that came with it was terrible and we had trouble getting the new bow to We thought we'd give it a try even though it wasn't expensive. It was delivered in just a short time too, and we were up and running just seconds after it was.
I am pleased with the.
This is outstanding!.
Buying this for the Chinese 2 Erhu (Chinese 2-Erhu Instrument made of string and bow). During winter, the sound quality was quite scratchy, and there was some secondary vibration that was felt. Although it was a cheap product (free shipping) and it works well in warm months, I would give it 4 stars.
So long as you use it right, it will work as it should.
I can't think of anything better than this for someone who is learning to play the violin. If you are new to the violin, I highly recommend this. It's rosin, it works (for a novice like me, at least), and it's inexpensive.
