Cellos with this bridge look warm because of the typical Belgian design. To create the strings I am using Pirastro Perpetual Edition (Medium). Whenever I play notes other than the open C string on the C string, the C string can be a bit slower to respond and sometimes sound a bit muddy. The Carbon Fiber end pin has been replaced with a Mitsuke Triple Brilliant end pin, which I suspect has more resin than carbon. Cello had a dark, warm sound right away but also experienced a massive increase in resonance right away. Notes played on the C string are now much faster to respond and have a much crisper sound. strings, when played open, ring much more than they did before the end pins were changed. I say YES, YES, YES! If you're wondering whether the upgrade is worth your money, I say YES, YES, YES! This is the best sound I've ever heard from my cello! I am in awe. A lot of good things are done to tone, responsiveness, and volume of the whole cello with this. In the lower strings, my cello has always been strong, but now it is more resonant and deep than ever. There is almost too much brightness and power in the upper strings. My string setup will need to be revised to make up for this.
