It is rare for these to leave much behind, if any at all. In my opinion, I have not even tried using this because it still stinks (like a fossil fuel) even months after purchase. Spend a bit more on an Artino Practice mute, it's worth it There is no smell and a better muting mechanism (rubber covered metal).
As for my cello, it fits fine with 4/4 rhythm.

The smell of gas and rubber is fairly strong at first, but I simply put it in a cup of warm water and dish soap overnight to clear it up. The only thing I wish it could do is muffle a little more, and make the cello a little quieter, but it still works During the time I was upstairs while my wife was downstairs, my wife could just barely hear me playing. Nevertheless, my 1 month old did not wake up when i played because my playing was quiet enough to NOT wake her up.
The rubber practice mute I used earlier was stiffer and more stiff. It doesn't even get any Wolf notes or recalcitrant notes on strings like that one. My current preferred method of "silent" practice is as follows.
It may seem like a strong mute, but its size belies its strength. Around the edges of the plastic there are tiny remnants of rubber, making it feel cheap, too soft, and too tacky.
The smell is unbearable, like burned plastic mixed with gasoline. I am currently soaking I don't think it's worth my time or energy to fix it because nothing has worked. Buy a different mute with a better odor, or, at the very least,.
However, it is covered in a sticky substance that might protect it while being stored. In an effort to remove it, I tried water and alcohol, and when I thought I had done so, I put When I took it away from the bridge of the cello, I noticed that it had stained the wood with ugly black streaks. It did the job pretty well, but I regret using it. It was a difficult thing to do, and I am trying now to "clean" the bridge, work that a good luthier, I believe, would be better suited to perform. I'd rather not deal with it.
It was a complete waste of money to buy this product. It is too large to play a cello. There might have been a Bass mute here.
This is a great tool when practicing to reduce the volume. This is heavy Since my son and I are both cellists, I bought one for each of us. It was necessary for the teacher to have it for a "live" class so that the student could focus Within three weeks, they will be returning to school on a full-time basis – This momma is having a good day. In my opinion, the other reviewers are on the right track. No matter how long it soaks and how much it is washed, this mute still smells bad. It also appears to be made of a lightweight vinyl cheaply produced. An older rubber practice mute is marked "Ultra USA" in my collection. The weight and quality of the device is much better. It is nothing more than a cheap knockoff of the Honbay. The rubber practice mutes I want are significantly pricier than the one I am using.
