Product Description

The Fishman brand

Whenever a musician plugs in Fishman strives to make sure they are getting the most accurate sound.

To install the C-100, Fishmans patented Floating Mount System is used. This allows it to easily fit into the bridge's wing slot.

The package is completed by a 1/4 inch jack mounted to the tailpiece and a 10 cable. It is recommended, but not necessary, to use an impedance-matching preamp.

It is easy to install and requires no modification

The cello finish is a natural finish, so how would you remove it without damaging it?

Rather than being fixed to the bridge, it is designed to attach to the after length of the strings, directly between the bridge and tailpiece, so it shouldn't damage finishes.

Our purchase is designed to be played with a PA system, but you must have a preamplifier to use it with a PA system The amplified version. Although we had trouble hooking up the amplifier, we were able to achieve a great sound.

It works great, but it is dependent upon the type of bridge

A friend and I bought it together with the pre-order I'm looking for an amp so I can use it on my cello. Due to the space between the leg and wing of the bridge on my Belgian bridge cello, I have to use the wood shim that comes with it in order to use the pickup. I have a cello with a French bridge, and the wings fit perfectly, however they My cello sounds just like an acoustic guitar, not like an electronic one. I was very, very pleasantly surprised that I can play it as an amplified version of myself, rather than an electronically charged instrument. There is no doubt that you can make it sound more electric, but I haven't had a chance to play around with it as much as I would like.

An excellent electric cello solution at an excellent price and with no hassle

As an accompaniment for rock guitarists, I use this It is not the most difficult application (i. e. Although I did not write all of it myself, I am extremely satisfied with the outcome It installs easily on any cello, is quiet, has good pickup and quality, and does not produce feedback or distortion. The preamp I use is the recommended one. In addition to being difficult to remove, the instructions are for gluing it on and that would make subsequent installation or removal of it on other instruments challenging.

Trying to get your hopes up will only make things worse

My cello needed a quick fix for a live performance, and this pickup met my expectations. The price is what you pay for, after all. The method works, but To boost the signal, I had to run my cello through an EQ pedal, which got me there, but the sound was a little different from the original. In general, I had trouble with the bass resonating and had a problem with hum (a ground loop @ 60Hz that had to be EQ'd). My current pickup is the Shadow SH 955 Nanoflex Pickup because I can't live without it. Using the Fishman pickup in live performance will require you to boost your signal much more than you would typically do. It has a preamp they sell as an accessory that seems to solve the problems I had, but for the same price you can get an Aguilar Shadow pickup.
