It's like a Bam, but prettier, less expensive, and more practical! To begin with, it is absolutely stunning

When I first got it, my hard-core cellist husband asked if it was a Bam case (search for Bam on Amazon and you'll see that their fiberglass-like cases cost a fortune). br>br>I have a 16" viola, and I was able to easily adjust the padding inside to make it snug. I can even fit my ridiculously large shoulder rest, thanks to the extra room created by moving the padding around, when combined with the optional attachable music bag. I can fit a lot more stuff in this case than I could in my previous half moon-style wood case. br>br>Are there any drawbacks (I'm sure there are)? You are only allowed to carry two bows at a time. But I'm a novice who practices like a cat at the vet, and having a harem of bows in my case won't change that. br>br>The case has numerous reassuring closures all around the body, ensuring that it will not spring open if dropped. I'm sure you wouldn't do that. It would be fine if you did. br>br>There are wheels on the bottom that are as useful as roller skates on a zebra, but they are well hidden. The backpack straps perplex me, but they're made with brilliant level padding that prevents the clips from scratching the case. As I previously stated, I'm not sure how to carry it comfortably with both straps, but carrying it as a satchel is strangely comfortable. br>br>I can't speak to durability because I just got it, but it's very functional and attractive right out of the box. Five stars for the price and the happiness it brings me, even if it only lasts a year!.

My case has exceeded my expectations! From an oblong case to this one, I've come a long way. My 15 1/5-inch viola has a wide base, so it doesn't always fit well in cases, but the Velcro padding adjusts nicely, and it's very secure in there! The wheels perform admirably when it comes to rolling. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it because it's so lovely! If the BAM case is out of your price range, this is a great alternative. This was a bit of a splurge for me, but it was less expensive than BAM.
