31x11. Without anything in the outside pockets, the dimensions are 5x6. We adore it.
Because the cloth is protected by a hard shell, it will provide adequate protection. You probably don't want to drive over it, but e. The instrument will not be damaged if a music stand falls on it.

This is the third time I've ordered a case for my 16-inch Viola. The other two cases were either too big or too small by a fraction of an inch. This case was significantly more expensive than the others, but it now serves as a useful tool for protecting my Viola while also providing storage space. This case can be adjusted to fit a larger viola, and it has plenty of padding on all sides, as well as a full-length music pocket on the top and a smaller music book-sized pocket on the other. Each outer pocket has a small zippered pocket for a bus pass or cash, as well as pen/pencil holders. My Kun shoulder rest didn't fit on the drawer, but it did fit into the Velcro fasteners near the peg box on the top. The bow holders are my only gripe. br>br> When I close them, I have to be very careful not to catch it on the bow hairs. There's no way to tuck them in any tighter, and the bows only go one way. br>I deducted one star because of the stress of having to be careful with the bows. This is a very convincing argument. Even my 11-year-old nephew, who has been found to be irresponsible with his instrument, would have to work very hard to damage it if it were safely secured in this case. I expected the case to be a little heavier, but I do have a lot of music books. br>br>I ordered the additional backpack type straps from Amazon.
Bow clips with a short bow. I was very excited to purchase this viola case for my daughter's new 15-string viola because the majority of the reviews were very positive. Viola in the size of a 75" viola. Due to a variety of factors, I will have to return the case. While the case is sturdy and well-made, minor details such as velcro instead of snaps to secure the viola padding to the inside of the case and velcro on the outside flap (outside of the zipper) make me feel like I'm not getting my money's worth. The bow clips, on the other hand, are the most serious issue. The main part of the clips, the "finger" that protrudes from the case's inner surface, is far too short to hold the bow in place. I didn't use a particularly wide bow when I tested it. I'm hesitant to use this case because the bow clips cut into the bow's strings, potentially ruining even the most expensive bow. Instead of having to replace the bow every six months, a more substantial case with taller bow clips could save money.
The bow holders are a problem, but the case itself is great. Very well-written- The case is well-designed and constructed. There is plenty of space for music and a shoulder pad is held in place by straps. The bow holders, on the other hand, are far too small. Without damaging the hair, I can't get my second bow into the upper holder. Although my main bow fits better in the bottom holder, the latch still presses against my hair. It's strange that such an important detail was overlooked. br>br>They make no apologies for how big and heavy it is. It is, in fact. On the plus side, it appears to be very sturdy.
This is one of my favorite cases. It's a little smaller than my previous case, but it's got a lot more space inside. The chin rest has a strap to keep it from getting stuck or floating around. I had an inch left over on my 16-inch viola. The velcro adjuster was a perfect fit. On the outside, there is space for several music books, as well as a larger area that can accommodate larger pieces of music if necessary. Pens, pencils, rosin, mutes, and the tuner all have their own designated spots. This is an even-handed situation. So, even with my books stacked on one side, it doesn't tip over like my previous case did all the time. Thicker zippers and more comfortable grips give it a more durable feel.
5" viola. The case is nice, but it will not fit a 17-inch laptop. 5" viola. The 17th Strad pattern. The lower bout on a 5" viola is 11". The interior of the case is only 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 My son's viola is a Gliga 17, which measures 5 inches wide. It does not fit a 5" professional viola. The HS2167W case, according to my sources, will fit a 17-inch laptop. 5 viola. The confusion arises from the fact that the width of this case (13") is greater than that of the HS2167W (10. 8"). The lower bout of your viola should be measured. If the number is greater than ten, it is considered a large number. Get a larger case if your phone is more than 5 inches.
I'll have to rewrite my review now that the case has been closed. The zipper began to break earlier this year, and it finally snapped tonight. I won't be purchasing any more. br>br>Purchased in July of 2015, died in December of 2017. br>br>As of 2/8/17, I had not received a response from the vendor after filing a warranty claim on January 19, 2018.
We were able to easily fit our viola into it, and there was plenty of room for other items such as sheet music. Overall, it was an excellent purchase, far superior to my expectations.
This case is ideal for holding important teaching tools for a traveling orchestra teacher. The only disadvantage is that it becomes heavy after a while, but not excessively so!.
