As retractable landing gear on RC planes, I use these parts. The steel rods that I started off with It's important to note that these wires are strong and durable Strong enough to withstand a hard landing.
Making smaller tools is what I use it for. This is an excellent bargain with an impressive amount of material. A file slides on it easily, so it is hard. You can tell it has been well annealed as the material It can be fairly easily worked with if the temper is not drawn too much by the grinding process. I find the items I need to be of good quality.

I obtained what I was hoping for at a reasonable.
I found it easy to use. The material worked well on the project I used it for. I cut it with a hacksaw without problems.
I really like the product and the customer service is exceptional.
The shaft of an awl and an ice pick are constructed with this music wire. It's hard and difficult to cut with a hacksaw, but the cut off wheel on a Dremel makes it easy. In my experience, it holds a point very well, and is much cheaper than other steel types. When I was a kid, I used to get this at a hobby shop, but unfortunately that store closed. I now have a hard time getting a hold of it Here in the Seattle area, it is not offered by your typical hardware store or big box home improvement store.
