Despite its simplicity, this seat is extremely comfortable for me. There might be a way to give your lumbar a little support in a piano seat, but I don't know how that works. Wearing a back brace belt, such as a copper fit belt, is my only suggestion.
The leather surfaces (legs and cross pieces, as well as the padding on the top) are very shiny and glossy.
We cannot open the hinge fully due to its design, and ours does not allow for the maximum amount of opening. The one we have opens about 45 degrees more than we do. It is heavy to begin with, which is a good thing (i.e., good quality), but once the lid starts to go down, you need to hold on firmly, or it will fall without warning, and slam down hard. As a result, I am confident it would cause injury to a finger or hand part. We need to hold onto the lid when reaching into the compartment, since it will not stay open all the time. I asked the hinge to open the full amount it can, but I could not get it to do so.

My favorite part of this bench is the design. A little difficulty was encountered in securing the legs It did not work for me too well with the wrench that was included. The legs of my husband's wheelchair were too weak to keep it upright so my husband tightened the legs so it would not I like how wide it is and how comfortable it is to sit on. You might enjoy this product as long as you have the strength to tighten the legs.
The piano is black, so I bought the bench in black. In addition to the bench's perfect height, it also looks very stylish because of its shiny surface. I love how it looks with my piano. The cushion feels soft and is very comfortable. There is enough space on the bench to comfortably sit two people. There is a lot of space inside the compartment.
