I would say the frame is quite sturdy considering what I have to lift - 270 lbs. In terms of the interior, it has basic vinyl and the usual foam, nothing special it looks and sounds like plywood, but it's covered with fabric, so I am not 100% sure. It is better to spend more money and get something that you want if you really care what it is made of. You can buy this bench for a very reasonable price if you need a basic piano bench around the house.

As I am in my eighties, I find it rather difficult to get down on the floor, but this bench is a comfortable height to sit on when I need to adjust something near the floor, like the TV. My chair is always nearby and I keep it there because it's exactly what I needed. I am glad I can sit on my bench and reach the knob that is too close to the floor to reach normally in order to watch TV. When our TV has some problems at times, I am pleased that I can reach it from my bench.
