I'm not sure, to use Ricky's phrase. br>br>However, it appears to be leather and feels that way. It turned out to be an excellent investment. It is best to contact the manufacturer for more information.
This Ebony leather bench has made a big impression on me. (Church) I use it three times per week. About 4- A total of 6 hours per week are required. It has a long life expectancy. This is a bench that I would recommend. It's also adjustable. It's only been a year since I got it. It does, however, appear to be well-made. Because it's only used to sit on, it should last a long time.
It squeaked a little, but there's a way to silence it. From a standing position, perform the following exercises. Wind the seat completely down with both hands. You want it to be firmly in place, but not too firmly. Do not over-tighten a screw. do it. Then, using both hands, wind it up to the desired height once more. That should be the end of it.
This cushion has a thick padding and is extremely comfortable. I've been on the bench, at the keyboard, for hours at a time, and the buttons don't get in the way; also, I'm not a light weight, but the bench comfortably supports my 215 pounds.

The rigid buttons were easily felt because the padding on this bench was not particularly beefy or thick, and I'm sure that after any serious session, I'd end up with half-nakedness. You are receding into the moon- know- where. br>br>In every other way, I'm happy with this low-cost artist bench, so the buttons are turned off. I had to pry a glued-on piece of clothing away from my face. Pry a few staples loose on the liner, then pull the buttons out through the top with string. Removing the ten buttons took about 15 minutes. br>br>I've certainly nullified any warranty that might have existed. That suits me fine. Please decide for yourself whether the "fix" is better than the problem if you plan to do the same. It's for me, br>br> br>br>Postscript: br>br> I discovered a bench that I much prefer - "Genuine Leather Adjustable Piano Bench" by Griffin. The Griffin excels at everything that this low-cost CPS Imports product fails at. Yes, it costs a little more, around $70 more, but WOW is it worth it. Jansen (the king of benches) is given a run for his money by the Griffin. That's something I wish I'd discovered first.
genuine hide! I recently purchased a lovely small grand piano that was in good condition but lacked a bench. The piano was finished in black satin, and I wanted something that was well-made, had storage, and looked as nice and professional as the piano, which this does. The storage space on a bench like this isn't as large as a longer, "traditional looking" bench (I put "traditional" in quotes because this is the style that most professionals use), but it makes up for it by being height adjustable. Mine had a tiny ding in the finish on the top of one leg, but it won't be noticeable with careful placement and perhaps a touch of black paint. It's not nearly enough to deduct a star. It's very simple to put together (the Allen wrench was actually taped to the side of the box, but I forgot about it and used my own), but I always recommend that when aligning four legs, you don't completely tighten them until you've put all four on, placed it on the floor, and made sure it's stable. The bolts should then be completely tightened.
This is an excellent product. br>I needed a little more height and a softer seat for my back because I spend so much time at the piano each day. br>When I first saw this bench, I was skeptical. My main concerns were the bench's overall sturdiness and the quality of the workmanship. br>I was also concerned about it being imported, to be honest. br>All I can say is that I think I need to be a little more open-minded. br>This is a lovely, comfortable, and well-made piano bench that is quite heavy. br>I regret not purchasing this item sooner. It has enabled me to precisely adjust the height. And, by the way, the seat has just the right amount of give; it's neither too soft nor too hard. (No more back issues)br> The customer service is excellent. They will gladly respond to any questions you may have. They are responsible and professional. br>I really can't say enough good things about this piano bench. br>Many thanks to CPS Imports.
This piano bench is extremely well-built and attractive. Our expectations for quality and value were far exceeded by this piece, which was beautifully crafted. The adjustable leather seat (which lifts up for sheet music storage) is extremely comfortable, and my husband, a professional musician for whom I bought this as a gift to replace his old bench, has been able to sit at the piano for hours with ease. It also has a lovely finish. He is extremely pleased with his purchase and enthusiastically recommends it to anyone looking for a high-quality piano bench at an incredibly low price.
After sitting in a regular padded folding chair for about an hour and experiencing back pain and general discomfort, I decided to splurge on this bench, which provides excellent support and comfort and is also attractive. The cushion is nice and firm with just a little give, making it ideal for people who have back issues.
This is an incredible bench. It has a nice appearance, is well-made, and is comfortable to wear. I looked all over for a good adjustable bench but couldn't find one. This is ideal for pianists of all sizes. The adjustment knobs are simple to turn, but moving significant distances requires many rotations. It's important to note that I used the word "knobs" in the previous sentence. On each end, there is a single knob. If the player is seated on the bench, it is easiest to make adjustments by turning the knobs with both hands at the same time. One of the reasons for the bench's solid feel is that each rotation only moves it a small distance. It can be adjusted up or down without leaving the bench by turning only one of the knobs (they are physically connected), but I find that using both knobs is easier and faster. br>br>This bench is best for a single player or two people of similar heights. The bench's length is perfect for one person, but not for two, unless they're small children. If you need two players at a time, choose the longer bench; the storage underneath it is similar to that of a standard bench. Music books and other small items are easily accommodated.
After looking at a number of benches, this one seemed to stand out to me in terms of price and functionality. br>I knew I'd need an adjustable bench because I'm 5'2" tall, and this one was relatively simple to adjust; however, if you're a teacher and need to adjust it for students, it's probably not so convenient. But it's not too bad, and it only takes a couple of minutes. I'm the only player, so once I got it adjusted, it was perfect! I noticed some comments about it squeaking, but I don't hear it at all when I put the seat all the way down and then raise it to the desired height. I don't need a lot of storage space because I only store current music that I'm working on. There is no way around it, but that's not a big deal; the leater appears to be holding up quite well. Although the cushion isn't particularly soft, I prefer a firmer cushion. I'd make another purchase.
