Therefore, that tells me that they are either assuming that I am lying, or that they believe that using the device as intended is damaging to it! It would be absurd if the mechanic blamed you for the screw that fell out of your new brake job. With the instrument's very bright display, it is easy to use as it "catches" a note and holds it steady as you tune, and it lets you know if some of the strings need some attention if you strum them.
