Questions & Answers

Although the tuner is advertised as being viewable in sunlight, I was disappointed to find that the screen is not visible in any type of sunlight. Are you having the same problem as me?

One of the reasons for returning it was because I had the same issue. My recommendation is to buy a Sonic Research tuner.

Do you think this will work with a 5-string ?

In fact, the StroboStomp HD has multiple tuning modes, including those for bass, and can handle a Low B string without a hitch. - Brian Meader, Sales Manager at the Guitar Sanctuary.

How does it handle playing with a pedal steel if it has an "always on" mode?

Bypass / Monitor Mode (Default) *br> In this position, the output is driven in the same manner as AIP Bypass Mode, but the tuner displays are still active when it is off. While playing, the monitor is muted so that the tuning can be closely monitored.

My pedal board cuts out after I power down. Can this pedal come back on when I re-power? I want a tuner that always turns on without having to manually turn it on each time I turn it on. ?

To the best of my knowledge, this tuner is always active unless you disrupt its power or unplug it from the power

This product is not designed to be used with pedalboards
3/5

This tuner has excellent tuning functionality, so I have no doubt you will like it too. I am disappointed in the design of this pedal since the design does not appear to take pedalboard use into consideration. 1

Almost the entire bottom of the pedal is covered by a rubber pad, and the velcro will not adhere there. * ** 2. A velcro strip would be nice on the side of the battery compartment, but the compartment is right where I want it. 1. 2. 3. It is not flush on the bottom because there are four screws. Our pedal board attachments typically use Velcro, which we often use to attach the pedals. The fact that they did not take this into consideration is disappointing.

The Deluxe Tuner is very nice
5/5

It's my first use of this technique, which I used to check intonation on guitars. I had done them previously using just a clip in Although you can get pretty close with them (I think it's sufficient for the majority of applications), the HD def showed where there was a little bit of off-axis behavior and to me, that made it worthwhile. My rubber pad was pulled off to ensure the velcro would stick to the bottom, but I might have not needed to do that if you use velcro that is of better quality. **** - I really like how I can customize the display to a wide range of For your main tuner, I would say that if you feel that you need the added level of tweaking, then it is worth considering, but since it can take a little longer to show you have the right pitch, some may find it a little cumbersome? I hope this is clear, but I'm just being honest after using many tuners in different settings, so what I'm saying is just my opinion. When you have an adjustable bridge on your guitar, you should use this to begin adjusting your intonation, to get the most out of the instrument.

An annoying delay in muting and an odd angle in viewing
3/5

The tuner looks really nice, especially its large display which is easy to read. The 9v output will turn out to be very useful if you have spare batteries. There are two issues with the Strobostomp HD that cause me to want to return it. It appears that the "mute" switch is controlled by a digital processor. The problem is less obvious when your signal is muted, however it becomes much more noticeable when your signal is unmuted. Following a stomp on the switch, there is a slight delay followed by an audible "click". There is no instantaneous return of the signal as there is on a mechanical switch. The annoying part of it is that you cannot avoid noticing it once you notice it. For me, it is an annoying thing that I notice whenever it happens. A second problem I discovered was the angle of view. It is hard to read the tuner if I sit down or if I walk more than five feet away from it. It looks like the display on old LCDs and TFTs. In addition to those two things, which may or may not bother you, I found the Strobostomp HD to be.

I've got one of the best tuners out there
5/5

It is perfection. Tuners always seem to fail to work right, don't you think? Strobe tuners are the only ones that really work, so do you have one of those? Why wait for another bad boy when this one is It works like a dream, and it's so accurate that I need to upgrade my tuning keys if I want to be 100% accurate. I have a vintage Les Paul reissue and is fitted with 50s era tuners and they are just too coarse to dial in the tune perfectly but this tuner can handle My heart f#*ks up when I see this.

A tune-up pedal that is among the best ever made
5/5

I'd like to bid you farewell, boss There are several. One of the reasons why I've never quite understood the popularity of the Boss TU tuner pedals is that they seem to be so low-cost. I find that they are difficult to read because the screens are relatively small. For this reason, I have worked with a Korg Pitchblack tuner for a long time now, and I am very happy with it. Nevertheless, I decided to upgrade to something with even better visibility, and in the process of doing this, I became aware of how Peterson crafted such an excellent tuner! Wow, this pedal is new, but what an awesome sound it makes! There has never been anything like this tuner before. My strobe tuner was an absolute breeze to use. I thought it would be difficult to get used to, but it didn't at all, and I now Also, I like the fact that you can change the colors!.

A superior level of I have never used a tuner better than this, and was far superior to the TU-80 tuner that I used for years A Polytune is also included in the 3
5/5

the Polytune video reviews and you can see for yourself that the accuracy between the poly (all things at once) and chromatic tuning is not identical. This is popular for no reason that I can think of. The strobe tuning might take you a little while to get used to, but once you see how consistently well this Peterson tuner works for guitar after guitar, it will be the only tuner you'll use from now on. In addition to the Peterson clip, I also bought one. I use acoustic instruments for my music.

This is a nice tuner for pedal boards
4/5

It is an accurate tuner with a large display that can be adjusted to match any pedalboard. It takes a little while to adjust it to stop the strobe wheel from spinning, which signifies that the strings are While tuning, the only thing I wish it were better is that it is slower to switch between strings when showing a switch. Mutes are turned on and off via a footswitch, which is the most used built-in function.

I've never owned a tuner as precise as this one
5/5

Tuner is one of my favorite devices. It's very important to me that my guitar is tuned properly because I have a picky ear. It does that in a precise manner. It is wonderful how the tunings have been sweetened. an experienced guitar player, you know that even after tuning each string of your guitar to the correct pitch, some chords still sound off, and you have to tweak your tuning by trial and error to obtain the correct pitch. You can make it worse if you tune down or use alternative tuning. A variety of adjustments for sweetened tuning is available for adjusting for intonation issues inherent in fretted instruments in addition to the default settings. This ensures that all chords sound right by tuning each string to its optimum pitch, which may be a tiny bit off from the "correct" pitch. Although you do not have to use the sweetened settings, they are really helpful if you choose to. It is my preferred tuner for properly tuning a guitar to perform. I have tried several brands and types and they all work well but this one is my favorite.
