Questions & Answers

Tuning a fish with such a device is possible, but is it safe?

While you can tune a piano, no tuna fish can be tuned.

The ST-8hz displays the 12 notes of the guitar Would it be possible to use something like C# or F# instead? EBGDAE is all that is displayed? In the absence of a tuner, do all 12 notes display?

A chromatic tuner would do this job. It will detect all 12 notes and display them all.

What are the results of using the tuner with a 12-volt battery Do you play acoustic guitar with a string?

I used it on a 12 string electric guitar and it worked well. I did muffle the companion string with my thumb or finger when tuning the other so as not to create an unnecessary or false

I DO NOT want to get the The 8HZ frequency is active right now! IF YOU DO ANY adjusting, YOU WILL break the thing as soon as you do it! I DO NOT want to get the The 8HZ frequency is active right now! YOU ARE FIXING A MESS UP, AND YOU WILL BREAK THE THING when you get it adjusted! Thus far, I have gone through TWO of these devices and they initially work well until I turn the tuner a little bit, when suddenly one of the three plastic pieces breaks off on the tuner part ( not the clip) and the device is totally My email was sent to Snark, but I did not receive a response

The items in question have a manufacturing defect. A nudge on the 3 plastic tabs holding the ball joint on the back of the tuner will remove it. Those tabs are so weak that they will simply break It seems like the batch Amazon has right now has a manufacturing defect. There's no way I could say. It is not recommended that you purchase Go somewhere else and buy them. Based on what they had on 12/28/17, it's garbage regardless of what batch they have.

During the first month, the business went under

As a result of other reviews, I really had high expectations for the While the tuning is fairly good, it is not as tight as the tunings I have used in the past. However, the bigger problem that led to submitting a negative review was the fact that one of the three prongs at the back of the tuner head, which supports the stem and allows it to pivot, broke after a few weeks, and it was just past the return period. Though I may be able to crazy glue the tuner to the stem, I don't think it will be worth my efforts. The tuner isn't of very high quality.

The idea is good, but the design is poor and the plastic is bad quality

Using this app is straightforward and easy. Leaving it on the guitar is what I do. Controls that are easy to use. The popularity of this game is easy to understand. The problem is that there is Tuners like the Snark are ill designed and use low quality plastic that breaks easily, rendering them In the clip part, there is a neck with a ball shape at the In order for that ball to fit into a 3-pronged container. There are little prongs on each end of the earring that are made out of cheap plastic that easily breaks off. In case any of them break, then the tuner won't be able to pick up vibrations from the guitar, making it ineffective. Even though I was seldom rough with the tuner, it still The cheap, breakable plastic used by Snark is disappointing.

Here's what is wrong with all of these tuners. By using a simple program and microphone on your phone, you will be able to convert the frequency to a digital format that you can read accurately. The iPhone can be programmed to tune your guitar using a tuner. The problem is that My problem is that I have a hard time doing that -- These are only a few examples. It would be nice to have something on my guitar that I could use right away. As far as I know, there is no such thing as a super high end, high quality tuner. The one I wanted had to be extremely accurate, made of the highest quality materials, and have a low weight. I cannot predict when it will end. Here is the problem it will last a very long time. There are plenty of free iPhone apps out there that claim to compete with these guitar tuners (like this one). As a result, they make these things as cheaply as they can! The answer is yes. The parts and materials are of low quality. In order to reach that goal, they try to reach a You will find ones in the market that come with caps if you look around. Taking into consideration a 5 dollar capo for the 10 dollar instrument tuner, how much did they actually spend on the instrument to make it? This will cost you $30. In the past, I've returned the ones above 10 dollars for a variety of reasons (reason 1), including that the guitar could not be tuned. There was no way I could reach the D string. Therefore, their components were junk and they had no value The reason they are making money from cheap parts is they are putting them inside. Reason 2) the plastic buttons are so cheap that it does not turn I bought a 25 dollar tuner recommended by the "best of the best" and it couldn't tune the d string and was broken on arrival with all those super cheap plastic buttons - I had to return it. A complete waste of time. Also, there are a number of The cheaply made ones are assumed to be this way The components are not of high quality). As soon as you have bought In search of the best, I looked at this brand. Keep in mind that I bought a few of the best of the best (since I wanted a tuner on my guitar that I could access from anywhere). Having quality problems was a common problem among all of them. There is still a long way to go Several of these products were purchased at different times and each has All the expensive ones failed to work, which is astonishing. Then don't bother with anything else.

Get it for around ten bucks. I am writing this memo to these tuner makers (yes! ) I work as an engineer. Your phone app does not compete with that one on the app store. For guys like me, a super high end quality tuner with super high end parts would be the perfect addition to my high end Martin guitar. There is no reason for me to use the iPhone software. The answer is yes. While my ear is great, I have a poor sense of balance in concert I can hardly hear everything I play. I better make that thing at the end of my guitar awesome. For now, I am satisfied with cheap tuners (and this brand has proven itself to be the most reliable I have found), but I plan to either build my own with high-quality parts or find a maker willing to do something high-end. In any case, please let me know. A solid tuner is what you need if you are looking for one. Snark has done a great job on these - they are extremely nice and cannot be beat for the price. It's a 5 star rating from me!.

It is a waste of my time

The following instructions are per the GUITARS MADE BY GIBSON ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR USE WITH THIS BAND. A rubber pad on this device, which is part of the design, ruins the finish of fine guitars, which the manufacturer knows. The government should take some action if they don't. It is important to know that this tuner is not as accurate as their basic tuners and not as accurate as their Due to the fact that you must tune all the strings in order for the Hertz feature to work, it is not useful. You can save your money if you do this.

An ineffective mount at a low price! Be sure to read the instructions about Nitrocellulose and Gibson finishes as well! There have been a couple of comments here about this You can mount for a low fee! This attachment to the mount was held in place by three tabs, one of which was bent so far out that it broke
3/5

Even though I had intended to mount it, I never managed to do so. Additionally, if your GPA is high, don't delay making the decision If you have an end Gibson, then as per the directions, this shouldn't be used on your headstock, as it may otherwise dent! The reason I mention this is just to let you know. What is the purpose of not listing this.

While it's highly accurate, it's a little rigid in its application and a little difficult I am much faster and more accurate with this tuner than I used to be with Furthermore, it has a pitch calibration feature, which is essential for me since I play at 432Hz
4/5

Nevertheless, it resets to A=440Hz every time it powers on, which means I have to do it more often. The "HZ" model also has a feature called "fine tuning" which is not what I was expecting. Regardless of how long the note is played, you will not receive the frequency hertz for that note Open string notes work only, and you have to follow a specific sequence (low- high- low- high A high score). You cannot pause the device while it is running. The device will lose track of the sequence if there is an errant string or if you dawdle too long. In some cases, this can mean a power cycle as well as calibration. Since it is so annoying to use, I prefer not to use the fine tuning feature. The instruction manual does not provide any information on any of these points There are hundreds of Amazon reviews to read, so you need to piece together what other users have to say. The idea is good, but the execution is poor.
