Questions & Answers

I see that one reviewer criticizes it for picking up ambient vibration and another for its slow response time; has anyone else had these issues? Thanks. ?

No, I don't have those issues; the tuner is excellent, and the mute button is excellent.

What is the role of the TU-II in the TU-II? 3 What effect does it have on a fuzz face if it's placed a few pedals after the fuzz? Like most Boss pedals, I'm guessing it has a buffer. ?

Place fuzz in front of the tuner, on a loop switcher, or on a volume pedal. This is particularly true for germanium fuzz pedals and other types of dirt pedals. The TU-Waza is a version of the TU-Waza that is used in Japan. There's a switch on 3 that turns it into true bypass. If you understand what I'm talking about with fuzz pedals, you'll want that. br>However, it's a great buffer, but it has an annoyance factor when used with fuzz pedals. Those who claim that it has no effect on other pedals are completely unaware of the situation. a few vintage-style If your fuzz pedal is on the wrong side of this kind of buffer, it will turn into a full-volume howling noise when your guitar volume is turned down. This isn't a value judgment, and bringing up Pete Cornish in this context isn't appropriate. Pedals with a buffer are beneficial. Some extremely desirable pedals adamantly insist on being placed before the first buffer.

Is this product suitable for a pedal steel guitar with ten strings? I was told to get a frequency display tuner, but I don't see one on the display?

This will not display the frequency in Hertz, but it will display pitch, and the 10 string pedal steel should fall within its range. A sharp is indicated by a dot on the screen.

Is it possible to tune a saxophone with this?

When you remove the mouthpiece or when the temperature changes, such as going from indoors to outdoors on a cold night (marching band), saxophones must be tuned. Tuning is accomplished by moving the mouthpiece in or out to shorten or lengthen the distance between the mouthpiece and the sax's neck. If you have a cheap mic with a 1/4" input, you could use this tuner to tune a saxophone. There are, however, less expensive tuners with built-in microphones that would be more appropriate for your needs. br>br>However, if the tuner you buy is set to concert pitch (440Hz A / piano tuning), you'll need to transpose the notes from Bb (tenor) or Eb (alto) to concert pitch when tuning your saxophone. In other words, playing a C on a tenor saxophone is equivalent to playing a Bb in concert pitch. In concert pitch, a C is an Eb for alto. There are some very expensive turners that can change the tuning from concert pitch to other pitches, but they are a waste of money because transposing is not difficult. If you are having trouble, make a chart or download one. Remember that your saxophone may be sharp on some notes and flat on others, so check multiple notes and find the tuning where the majority of the notes are in tune and those that are not are only a little sharp or flat.

A tuner that was EXACTLY what I wanted (and needed)
5/5

First and foremost, let me state that I could have most likely purchased the original TU- 3 (non- Waza Craft version), and I'm happy with the results. Regardless of whether or not I can tell the difference, anything that promises premium quality and uncolored signal gets my attention. And, hey, it's just a cool design! br>br>Apart from accuracy, speed was the most important feature I wanted in a tuner pedal. I've always preferred to use the clip-on method. on the subject of fashion, specifically the.

There's a reason you'll see this on so many pedalboards, including mine: it's a must-have for any pedalboard
5/5

I used to gig with a Sabine tuner for about ten years, but I switched to this because it has a smaller profile and allows me to daisy chain power. I adore the bypass option, which allows me to use my volume pedal as a mute switch while keeping this on all the time. The tuner responds quickly and clearly, indicating the pitch and whether or not you are on target with your tuning. This piece is equally at home on stage as it is at home. br>br>Bottom line:br>For something as mundane as a tuner, you'll be glad to have it on your board.

It's not up to par
3/5

Let me say this before I toss this box in with the other useless items I already have: br>br>It is, however, attractive. If you want a tuning pedal that plugs into a power supply, this one has a lot of flashing LEDs (only in a few settings, so you can turn them off if you want). If you want a tuning pedal that plugs into a power supply, this one is a good choice. This would have been at the top of my list ten years ago, but there are far better options now. If you're going to run this tuner off a 9V battery, make sure to charge it first. BEWARE. a alkaline battery (of 9 volts) This will not last very long on a single charge from the battery. When not in use, make sure to unplug everything. This is the fatal flaw in the system - If you forget to unplug an audio line, you'll have to replace the battery the next time you try to use it. Today, we are fortunate to have a plethora of other options.

The Gold Standard in the Industry! I've experimented with a number of guitar tuners, including the clip-on tuner
5/5

I'm always returning to the Boss TU- It's on my electric guitar's pedalboard, but it didn't help me with my acoustic guitar. electric. I finally bit the bullet and bought another TU- after trying a few others. I'm glad I took the opportunity. Stunningly precise. When tuning, I also enjoy the mute option. br>br>I don't use the mute function on my electric guitar; instead, the tuner is ghosted off the volume pedal. I can tune at any time, and muting it is as simple as adjusting the volume pedal. br>br>I strongly advise you to purchase the Boss TU-.

The industry's gold standard for stage tuners
5/5

There's a reason it's considered the gold standard among live performance tuners. Clip- Any loud noise that affects your instrument can cause ons to become lost or affected. This is not the case. When you're in tune, you'll see bright LEDs that can be turned up even brighter for outdoor use. You can either use the regular output jack to muffle everything while tuning, or use the bypass output to hear yourself while tuning. It even has a built-in power supply and a DC Out jack that can handle a few more pedals (depending on the pedals, and a separate cord is required). Although the bypass is buffered rather than true bypass, this is a good thing, especially if you have a long signal chain with mostly true bypass effects. This is the tuner you'll need if you play bass or guitar. br>br>.

To be honest, I bought this solely to use as a splitter for my zuul noise gate; the tuner was an afterthought that I could use on my board anyway
5/5

I chose the waza model because of the color clarity of the leds, just in case I needed to tune outside. But I can say that it is a good product because there is no coloration in my tones and it is as pure as it gets. I would strongly advise anyone to purchase this product.

I'm not sure why I waited so long
5/5

What can be said about the industry standard for pedal tuners? Almost every professional's pedal board has one; it appears to be solid and tough, and it can withstand stomping. br>br> From Keith Richards to Joe Perry, every pro has used this pedal on stage, in their studios, and in their homes. br>As well as true bypass, you can use it as a mute pedal while tuning if that's what you need. br>Order it and put it to good use; you will not be disappointed.

Tuner is fantastic
5/5

This tuner appeals to me in every way. It's made in Japan and is of excellent quality. It's simple to read the display. It has a number of tuning modes, including those for seven-string guitars, six-string basses, and other instruments. A five-year warranty is included as well. I'd also like to compliment SamAsh, the seller. com for their quick turnaround time. The estimated delivery date ranged from April 14 to April 28. It was delivered on April 12 after being ordered on April 17th. That is what I refer to as excellent customer service.
