To keep it from falling off your finger, it should be a little tight.

Two inches is the diameter of the opening. Two centimeters or just a few hundredths of an inch. The diameter is 9 inches.
The edge of mine did chip a little when I dropped it. Although it did not shatter, it was not able to break. There are some metal ones you can find if your 7 year old plays slides.

In fact, I bought both the Dunlop DT01 Derek Trucks slide and the Dunlop 276 slide, which are virtually identical, except the top of the Dunlop 276 is a In the case of the Trucks, they weighed 43 grams, whereas the 276 weighed 44 grams. On the finger, they both fit the same way. One gram of difference and Trucks' signature on Slide 2. There is one gram of difference between the two slides, but on Slide 1.
The sound quality is wonderful when doing rapid slide work, as well as smoothly smooth and energizing. I've found the narrower opening helps keep it securely fitted to my pinky, but I tend to prefer straight glass tubes with the ends open (the bottle shape just feels less comfortable to me, and definitely results in more heat and sweat after playing for a few minutes). br>In terms of tone, it's beautiful, but so are other similar slide types with medium thick walls, some of which are also lighter and easier to move than this bottle-shaped one (although this medicine bottle-shaped one was built with more practicality in mind). It is a type shape that is still used by Derek Trucks, as well as Duane Allman. These two slide guitarists are top notch, in my opinion).
This is the slide I pick up every time now. I have numerous styles, but this is the one that I always pick up. A smooth tone is present in the glass. The bottle slide is only large enough to fit my little finger. I have a large hand. Slide is something I always do with my little finger, so that's good for me. The slide will only be possible with your pinky if you have a large hand.
It has the kind of authoritative flow that is difficult to get from many slides. Mass is an important aspect of it. I find it to be an ideal fit for my finger.
In the past, I bought an inexpensive set that contained a few lengths of glass and a metal tube, along with some picks. There was nothing particularly special about them besides one of the tubes breaking in shipping and the picks being useless for anyone but children . They had a weak ring to them and barely had a soul. I don't want to see this slide. Be sure you make the right choice.
The products I use have been around for a long time. The design is very similar to the respected Corisedin bottle, but the bottom of these bottles is thicker, which helps sustain the flavor better.
This sounds wonderful, and it has such a cool name. The glass was a bit big for my big hand (glove size) but it is fairly thin, so when it fell about 16" from a coffee table onto a tile floor, it cracked. Furthermore, as others have pointed out, the closed end makes for a very Other ideas are on the table.
The tones of a glass slide are mellower than the tones of a metal or ceramic slide. As much as I understand that choosing a slide depends on your taste, so try a few different kinds until you find what you like. You must also bear in mind that you will have to practice using a slide to sound good, there is no short cut.
