A taper is present on the slide's internal surface. There is a 22mm ID at the bottom and a 17mm ID at the top of the ball. The only way I can wear it is upside down is because my fingers are skinny. It's hard for me to keep track of all the slides I have. I settled on the Latch Lake brass slide after trying just about everything, which is a premium slide but has a hard to find location. It was a whim that I ordered it. That was the most unexpected thing that ever happened to me. The slide was an excellent value, a top-notch quality slide at a great price. It is actually better in tone and articulation than my previous slide, and I never expected that. My brass slide is the ideal size for me. It spans the width of a resonator neck without any excess, and it has a flat surface that I find wonderful. Curved brass slides have been popular lately, but I always found them odd and inefficient. A flat surface allows for easy playing of full chords in open tunings, and pure lines of single notes sound wonderful. My primary acoustic guitar is a resonator, so I'm not sure how it would sound on an electric, however it would work great as an acoustic blues instrument.
There is a taper in the inner circumference that runs up to about an eighth of an inch thick, but it isn't comfortable when it is used on the tighter, inner circumference. Though well made, even this big, tapered pinky slide is still too big. In addition, with the weight it can be difficult to keep it from banging against the fretboard, which would cause the fretboard to be dingy. From an aesthetic standpoint, I think this would be more suitable for a steel player than the traditional blues guitar player. I give it five As a blue slide, you can see three stars.
The hands on my arms are about average size for a female. The slide ring would probably fit my ring finger just fine, but I only use my pinky for playing slide. That is a pity, as it is well made and.
I was completely wrong. I would like to know what the thing is called. This slide has the perfect balance between weight and taper on the inside. That has the effect of giving you more control over your slide. And it sounds amazing as well. A spare will be on hand in case I need it. If you play an acoustic guitar or a resonator guitar, I recommend this. You're going to enjoy the way you slide, I promise.
Despite being very well made, I did not find this slide very appealing. It is unnecessarily bulky and large for my ring finger even. There are some positive reviews for this slide but it is not my favorite. I have a variety of slides and the Rock Slide is my absolute favourite. Slides are extremely personal, and I was not a fan.
On an electric guitar with low action, I had some difficulty adjusting to this slide. The first few times I played, I had difficulty hitting the frets I had to develop some finesse. The acoustic had medium action, which was good for an acoustic. Comparing the tapered fit of this slide with the pipe-like interior of others, I actually liked it a lot more. This is a heavier slide and the extra mass will make it more difficult to accelerate and decelerate and to hold onto compared to a lighter slide. This is a high-quality.

There is a taper on the inside of the slide, so that you can fit your finger better. My focus is more on playing and less on controlling the slide since the fit is so good.
This is a fantastic tool for playing. A iPhone would have been a great purchase for me if I had bought it.
