Questions & Answers

Is it possible to put a wine glass in this?

It could hold a wine glass, I suppose. Because the Sheet Music stem can be shaky at times, it's best not to fill the glass to the brim.

When looking at the violin from the left side, does the tuning peg rest against the hanger?

The violin does not rest on the lower extent of the pegbox behind the nut, despite assertions to the contrary. The tuning pegs are not in any way in contact with the hanger. Violin does not rest on tuners, as stated in the product description.

Is it possible to use this for a viola?

Yes. My music teacher is a violinist as well as a violist, and she uses this for both.

Is it possible to use it with a ukulele?

The ukulele's neck is too large to fit in the holder, so no.

It's very simple to set up and does exactly what it should
4/5

I needed something other than my case to hold my violin while I'm working with students, so I could easily access it but quickly put it away when I needed to. This was a brilliant idea. I have it on my Manhasset stand, and the only reason I didn't give it five stars is because you have to carefully hang it so that it rests on the peg box rather than the tuning pegs. In addition, the packaging is dreadful. Put it in a box, that's all there is to it. It took me longer to get it out of the box than it did to put it together. Aside from that, everything is fine. Observation - With the violin hanging there, I can't fully lower the stand, but that's due to the stand rather than the hanger. Please ignore the rosin that needs to be removed from my violin. Thanks.

It's a pain in the buttocks, but it works
4/5

This is definitely sturdy and well-made, and it holds my fiddle on a mic stand when I'm not playing it; however, the screw takes FOREVER to tighten or loosen, and it can't be done with just one hand like my old fiddle hook, which was designed for a mandolin and had a more quick-release mechanism. With a tightening knob, you can release the spring mechanism claw. Also, this hook has to be wiggled onto thicker diameter mic stands, and it takes EXTRA LONG to screw onto especially narrow diameter stands, not to mention being less stable once it's on them because the screw is off center. Meh.

It's a cute little gadget
5/5

I sing and play the violin, so this little gadget was ideal because I didn't have to hold my violin the entire time or reach for it on the floor, then place it on my face. Pee and feces are tracked across floors by people. That's not something I want on my skin! The only thing that could improve it is if the violin's little arms could move. I have a YEV electric violin that I don't hang by the neck because it puts too much strain on the tuning pegs, so it would be nice if I could bend the hook slightly to hang it differently.

The quality is excellent
5/5

I was given this music stand as a gift, and I am very pleased with its quality and functionality. br>br>For starters, it was very simple to put together. It's been simple to change the stand's height depending on whether I'm sitting or standing. br>br>I particularly like the page holders for keeping my music books open. I have yet to use the music clip, which is a cute addition. br>br>The carry case is also a nice feature, though I haven't used it yet. br>br>A violin hanger can also be used with this stand. Overall, I'm happy with this music stand and would recommend it to others. br>br>.

Everyone wants to use the instrument more because it is so accessible and well-designed to be safe and durable
5/5

GREAT! I was debating between this hanger and the one that goes on the edge of the music stand section where your music notes are placed. br>I am not a musician and was purchasing it for a child, so that was just a matter of logic, and I figured that if it is designed properly and is sturdy, it should be fine and not get in the way of flipping sheets when resting. br>I was very pleased with it when it arrived and we installed it on the leg of the music stand. br>It is very sturdy, and installation was so simple and quick that I completed it in no time; it is simply a matter of putting it on and tightening thatbr>screw to adjust how tight or loose the hanger is, and in which position you want it. You can put it anywhere and face it any way you want, so it's completely flexible. To me, sturdiness is the most important factor: It is completely safe to hold a valuable instrument without injuring it, and it is also ideal for the bow. br>It's incredibly comfortable and simple to use; all you have to do is remove the bow first, then the violin, and reassemble them in the opposite order; you hang your violin first, then the bow. br>br>Perfect for a child because before we got this, the violin was sitting in the box before we used it, and accessibility was limited because it takes a lot of effort for a child to open a case and take an instrument out. Now that the violin is always available, accessible, and inviting to use, children want to play it without any additional steps. It's similar to having a piano that is always ready to play, with no additional steps required. br>This contraption is fantastic because it not only keeps your violin safe and secure, but it also encourages you to play more. br>br>I am very pleased with it; I believe it is an ingenious design that benefits us greatly. br>br>I've heard that this is something that parents get for their children to take to school when they play so that the instruments are safe and no one steps on them. If you have a child who can put it on and take it off without assistance, I believe it is something to think about. I'm not sure when the children will be capable of doing so on their own.

Exactly as stated
5/5

The unit is simple to put together. There are two parts to this product: a clamp- The "y" piece is used to hold the violin and a bow, and the "bit" is used to attach it to the stand. It was presented in a professional manner. br> The stand is simple to put together. I can't comment on whether or not you should use the "Y" in a wall assembly. It does say that if you're putting up a wall made of masonry or rock, you'll need to go to the hardware store for additional pieces. br>br>I clamped the stand's top height adjustment joint rather than its "shaft. " I found the thickness to be just right for holding the "y" clamp. br>br>One thing to keep in mind, but I believe this is the case for the majority of holders. There's a chance the violin's back will rub against the stand, but I'm not sure it'll happen often enough to be a problem. To be safe, I'll wrap a soft piece of leftover wool around the shaft of the stand where my violin would rest if it were knocked.

AWESOME PRODUCT! In worship at our church, I alternate between playing French horn and violin, so this stand-mounted violin is perfect for me
5/5

The bow holder is ideal for those last-minute changes. It's also worth noting that it's constructed from heavy-duty materials. It's made of high-quality steel and has a black finish, so it'll last a long time. If you're deciding between this post-mounted holder and the one that attaches to the stand's desk, I strongly advise you to go with this one. The desk- The post-mounted stand, on the other hand, will not obstruct your page turns.
