Questions & Answers

Is it possible to remove the neck holders? My neck supports are too narrow for an acoustic case, so I'm looking for something to hold guitar cases. ?

It is impossible to remove the neck holders. They can be rotated to the back to avoid being seen. I keep a case and two guitars in mine.

Is it capable of holding smaller instruments like ukuleles and fiddles?

I'm afraid that ukuleles and fiddles would not fit properly in this type of stand; I believe that the bodies of the ukulele and fiddle would be too small to rest on the stand, and that they would instead sit on the floor. You might try contacting Hercules Stands to see if they have anything suitable for ukuleles and fiddles, as I think the stand I bought from them is excellent for holding my guitars. The guitar stands are fantastic!

Is the manufacturer's warranty valid for a specific period of time?

I'm not sure, but it's so basic that I doubt you'll have any problems with it. This appeals to me greatly.

Is it possible to use it with a nitro lacquer finish?

Ciarochi- It's possible that it's not the case. The difference between a nitro and a lacquer finish on a guitar is significant. And it's a lot more fragile, as well as time and money to fix if it discolors.

I really like this rack- They just nickel and dime you, man
4/5

This is an amazing rack! From the frame to the folding, everything about it appeals to me. On it, I have the following six electric instruments: A bass, two Les Pauls, an SG, a Telecaster, and a Strat are all well-matched. To make it six, I had to order three more add-on Ys for the guitar necks. This is the problem. They cost $10 each, and unless you have three acoustics, you'll only buy one or two. Also, the ones you buy are very tightly screwed down and do not move. The ones that come with it, on the other hand, are made of rubber and move around when you tap them with the guitar neck. Lame. I wish they had charged an extra $10 or $20 and included five screw-down Ys. It's a high-quality product that has been tainted by such a minor flaw. I despise the Ys that come with it so much that I'm considering chopping them off and replacing them with new ones for $30. If you do the math, that's an extra $50 to get what you should've had to begin with. Aside from that, the rack is simply fantastic. For the cheap and insufficient Ys, I'm docking a star.

It's a solid piece of equipment
5/5

There is no need to put anything together. I have some high-end guitars (at least, that's what I believe they are). I'm not going to lean a guitar against a table, a chair, or a wall when I'm writing chords for a song and need to set it down, or when I'm changing guitars at a gig. I've seen a lot of single guitar stands that are just waiting for something to go wrong. No way! This stand is ready to use right out of the box: It's ready to use as soon as you open it up. Yes, it's large, but it's not cumbersome. It has a lot of sturdiness to it. It would be extremely difficult to knock this over. I usually only use this for one guitar at a time, and when I'm done, I'll put it back in its case. When I use the stand, however, I'm confident that it will not tip over under normal conditions. By the way, while the neoprene padding on this stand is probably adequate, I went to Lowe's and purchased two six-foot lengths of one-inch interior diameter pipe insulation just in case. $4 total. I covered every surface that could possibly be bumped, including the neoprene padding. It still folds up nicely, and I believe it is more durable than the five-guitar holder. I'd buy two of these if I needed to store five guitars on a rack. By the way, my primary instrument is the mandolin. This rack can safely hold a mandolin case, as well as a mandolin, thanks to the extra padding, but the tuning keys must be stored in the neck holder.

The guitars are now neatly tucked away
5/5

In my office, I have two bass guitars (a 4 and a 5 string), an electric guitar, and occasionally an acoustic, all of which lean against amps or furniture. We recently adopted two kittens who enjoy climbing into and on top of everything in the house. When one of my guitars fell over and one of the cats was strutting around like a proud cat, I knew I needed to upgrade. br>br>This stand is very sturdy, and it has no trouble holding the basses and my telecaster. I also purchased an extra neck rest in order to add an acoustic (which I have yet to do). That'll be tight, and I'll most likely have to unplug the Jazz Bass to make it work, but I think it'll work. The neck rests move around easily, making it simple to adjust. br>br>The angle of the stand allows it to fit nicely in a corner. It allows the stand to be very compact and takes up very little room. It also appears to be very professional: My instruments are safely stored in a corner of my office, and I don't have to worry about those pesky cats any longer. br>br>I believe it is overpriced because it was priced based on the cost of three individual stands rather than the cost of materials plus a margin. However, it is of excellent quality, and I am extremely pleased with the stand.

If you want to leave your guitars out, I strongly suggest you do this
5/5

This is a sturdy stand that would be ideal for a home studio or music room. I bought extra spacers and this rack now holds five electric guitars. If you want to include an acoustic guitar with your electrics, the total number of guitars you can bring is four (three electrics plus an acoustic). If you want to keep your guitars out of their cases, I strongly advise you to do this.

Guitars are easily accessible (and pose a low risk of dings)
5/5

This is the kind of thing I like! It's in the box. Unfold. Use. It's a strong but light stand that can hold three guitars. I originally had three guitars on it, but when I moved one of them to the building where I work, it was a simple matter to re-mount it. Place the brackets on the rack to make it a two-tiered system. This design appeals to me more than the previous rack, which required me to lift one guitar out from behind another on occasion, and there was some banging (not serious, but concerning). With this one, everyone has equal access. It has a small footprint and fits nicely against the wall. It is sturdy, simple to use, and attractive, and I would recommend it.

The stand isn't very stable
3/5

I expected this stand to be sturdy after reading all of these positive reviews, especially given the price, but with some guitars on the rack, it wobbled easily from side to side, despite my attempts to tighten all of the screws and bolts. The construction is of good quality, but the design allows for some wobble. My el- This is much flimsier than the cheapo guitar stand/rack I got from Guitar Center. On the plus side, this stand evenly spaces the guitars and is very adjustable, the foam is of good quality, and the neck holders are also nice (I was expecting hard plastic neck holders, but they have a rubber feel to them). Overall, it's a good little stand, but for the price, I expected something a little sturdier and more durable.

Sturdy, convenient, and space-saving
5/5

When I'm at home for 9 months of the year, I keep my guitars on wall hangers or, if the humidity warrants, one of my acoustics is in its case with humidipaks. However, we spend three months each winter in a small rental down south, and bringing my gear requires a very space-efficient storage solution. I have two acoustics and two solid-body electric guitars, as well as one set of spacers. The neck cradle is ideal for holding all of them. When I take them out or put them back, I have to be careful not to bump them against each other, but this rack works perfectly. I don't perform as much as I used to, but if you need to bring a few instruments to a gig, this will suffice. This book comes highly recommended.
