You'll be fine. I've had it for two years and have never had any problems with it.
For nitro, it should be okay. It's a dense foam with a smooth vinyl layer on the outside. I have a lot of guitars with nitro finishes, and this stand and the wall hangers from the same company have never let me down.
There are no cuts, but there are some protruding posts that are rubber-wrapped. It is against this that the necks rest.

Selected User Reviews For String Swing Guitar Stand for 6 Electric or Bass, or 3 Acoustic Guitars for Home or Studio (CC34)
This is my favorite of several guitar stands that I've purchased. br>br>Note: There are few details in the directions. ON THE BOX, THERE IS A PHOTO OF THE FINAL PRODUCT - > Make use of it to construct! br>Putting it together isn't difficult. It's EASY to put it together backwards. It will make perfect sense if you keep referring to the picture while constructing it; pay attention to the orientation of the parts. I keep an electric guitar, two acoustics, and a banjo in my office, and it looks great. I ordered a second one because I'm a guitar addict with no self-control when it comes to purchases, and I need more stands to buy more guitars.
Although the stand is well-made and functional, guitars do not sit at the best and most stable angle. I already have a roadrunner 6 guitar rack, which is great but a little too deep for my needs. br>br>I already have a roadrunner 6 guitar rack, which is great but a little too deep for my needs. This would not withstand a shower and holds seven electric guitars. However, because there are no dividers, they will almost certainly collide. br>br>On the rubber base of this stand, dividers could be used. Even small discs are used to keep the guitar evenly spaced to prevent scratching. On this unit, trem bars, in particular, are a significant scratch hazard. br>br>I discovered that I needed to tie a rope across the front of this unit and tile my guitars just in case. br>If it weren't such a hassle, I'd probably return it and buy a new roadrunner case that's about half a foot deeper, but I'm never concerned about the safety of a guitar or scratching. br>Each guitar should have a secure strap on the stand, perhaps velcro. br>I'd like my guitar to tilt back a little bit so there's some weight on the neck, but they're so perfectly balanced vertically that they'll probably fall out if bumped. br>This is a good experiment, but it isn't a finished product because the necks aren't secured and the angle isn't ideal for guitars. br>You cannot use this rack to store flying V or Explorer guitars. For the first few days, the woods have an unpleasant odor. br>A $50 stand would be a good deal; at $100, you're paying for the fact that it's made of wood.
Customer service br>Value br>Quality of Finish (walnut) br>Packaging br>Would Purchase Again: Yesbr>br>If you buy one of these and spend an hour trying to put it together when it should only take 15 minutes, you got the wrong piece for holding the guitar's neck. If you get the wrong hardware to fit and the stand doesn't hold your guitars or basses well, it's because you got the wrong hardware. The padded steel snake-like part that holds the guitar/bass neck is the incorrect part. POSITIVES: br>br>NEUTRAL: br>br>NEUTRAL: br>br>
- The stand works well if you use the right hardware.
- I purchased the walnut-finished one because it appears to be attractive.
- Pre- The drilled holes are perfectly aligned and machined.
- Customer service is excellent: they answer the phone, offer assistance, and will send any replacement part or more (see negatives) to ensure that you are satisfied with your purchase. br>br>NEGATIVES: br>br>NEGATIVES: br>br>NEGATIVE
- There were several areas of the walnut finish that were not well finished, or the stain used was not deep enough. For hardwood, it must be sufficiently penetrating. The lack of uniform sanding had an impact on the stain finish. When I emailed pictures of the problem, the company offered to send replacement wood parts, if not the entire thing. For me, it isn't essential. However, there is a need for more careful attention to detail.
- Is it possible that the room is overcrowded? When unpacking, take care because the parts are held in place by clear plastic wrap that is tightly wound around them. Perhaps a small 1cm or 1/4" spacer would be useful. br>br>Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. While I was dissatisfied with the assembly process, which took far too long because the wrong part was forced to fit where it wasn't supposed to, I was pleasantly surprised by the seller's/manufacturer's attention to detail and follow-up. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The wobbliness is caused by the same component that makes assembly nearly impossible in the first place - in case you run into the same problem. br>br>At the moment, Amazon allows photos, so I could show you the differences between correct and incorrect parts, as well as finish issues.
Holds my guitars in place and looks good, as well as freeing up floor space in my studio. Hardwood of superior quality. String Swing is a US-based company with excellent products and customer service. It is well worth the investment. However, here are some suggestions for improvement: There are some scratches and gouges visible, which appear to have occurred during packaging and are not related to shipping. The instructions are unclear and ambiguous. It would have sufficed with a simple exploded diagram. Pre- Hardwood plugs should have been included for cosmetic finishing in drilled, countersunk, recessed screw holes. Other than semi-automatic locking, a mechanical locking system for the legs should be included in the design. a long-term method of screwing into one side.
This stand came with everything you'll need to put it together quickly and easily, including gorilla glue (which was a nice touch), the natural color of the wood blends in with everything else in my office, and it's made in the United States! br>br>Strongly Recommend! Very good quality! A fantastic product in general!.
