Yes, a 5-string bass will fit inside.
My Ibanez 4 and 5 string bass guitars, as well as my Fender Jazz bass, are stored in these cases. These can be adjusted to a certain extent. I'm not sure how long or tall your bass is.
This is the "Plus" version, which features a new adjustment grip (photos show the previous model). You're referring to the older, non-digital versions of the game. Plus version, when Hercules used to use an environmentally friendly grip coating that they no longer do.
Yes, that is correct.

It's in desperate need of an overhaul. Okay, I really wanted to like this stand, but there are two issues with it.
1. The top section that slides down to allow the unit's head to fold down is loose and wobbles. It is unstable because the parts do not fit together well enough and it moves around too much.
2. The piece that connects the bottom half of the stand to the bottom half of the stand is also sloppy and can move an inch or so from left to right. br>br>The top that holds the headstock "flops" around as a result of these two issues. This, in my opinion, is unacceptable for a stand with such a high price tag. Perhaps the one I received had a flaw.
The collapsing yoke was poorly constructed/designed, which was a nice idea. A tension pin holds the spring-loaded collar and spring in place. The tension pin has walked out and bound up the yoke, making it impossible for it to work. The hole had to be drilled to a standard size, and the loose tension pin had to be replaced with a 1/8" pin. It now functions properly, but this type of surgery should not be required on such an expensive item.
I've been playing for nearly 35 years, have a large collection of guitars, and need a variety of stands. With no endorsement from anyone, I can tell you that these are the most durable stands I've ever seen. Simply place the guitar on the stand, and the AutoGrip engages, preventing the guitar from falling off. Simply grab the guitar by the neck, and lift, and the AutoGrip disengages automatically. I'm going to buy a lot more of these stands. Yes, they're more expensive, but why would you want to put your dream guitar on a POS in the first place?.
My Les Paul was broken when I tipped over a cheap guitar stand. The neck was snapped. I honestly believed it was my fault and kept the stand, but when I saw this at a friend's house, I scoffed at the unnecessary design. On YouTube, I was listening to a guitarist lament the use of standard stands and how he had heard of guitars being damaged as a result. I thought to myself, damn. Perhaps it wasn't my clumsiness that caused the problem. Now that I've got one of these, I'm comparing them. well. get one. and toss out the flimsy stand you're currently using. Many stories about this can be found on the internet.
It sways a lot from side to side, which isn't cool.
For the first time, I tried a Hercules stand, and I was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy it is. br>br>Most of the stand is made of metal, with a few plastic and rubber components thrown in for good measure. Because of the amount of metal used in its construction, the stand is heavier than other stands, but this adds to its sturdiness. br>br>I highly recommend this stand for its quality construction and sturdiness.
This is an excellent stand that gets the job done. I have two Gibson guitars, a Les Paul and a Firebird, and the stand keeps both of them safe during performances. The weight of these heavy guitars causes marks on the top of the neck, so I can't leave them hanging all the time. Aside from that, I believe this is the best stance I've seen.
It appears to be in good condition. My Explorers and BC Rich guitars look their best on this stand. I use these on stage and at home for any odd shape that won't fit on a regular stand.
