I have at least 8 String Swings that I designed. and they're just as good, if not a little better, in my opinion. These have slightly smaller black walnut bases than the String Swing, but they look better - String Swing, in particular, is likely to come in a variety of woods and colors. br>br>I purchased a 6-pack of cigarettes. As a result, some artwork has been removed and more guitars have been added. BUT, when it comes to drywall, I always make sure to screw into the wood studs rather than relying on a drywall-only wall anchor - If you do, you'll find yourself in hot water sooner or later! br>br>Recent changes: br>br> Only a year later, in January 202021, the price has risen by 40% - They're no longer such a good deal!.

The majority of the mount is in good working order. The arm can hold guitars, the wood appears to be of good quality from afar, and it can be hung on a wall. Regrettably, the screws that they provided are completely useless. I knew how to use a screwdriver, the clutch was set properly, and I wasn't exerting excessive force. Despite this, the metal is so soft that after screwing them in and pulling them out, the heads were nearly stripped. When the head of one snapped off completely, I went to the hardware store and bought some decent screws for a couple of dollars. If you buy these, save yourself some time and money by also purchasing some higher-quality screws. I ordered 6 x 1 5/8" and they're nearly identical in size, but they won't fall out of your wall.

I bought these to save money when moving to a new office; I keep guitars in my office on a regular basis (I'm a musician), and I wanted to keep them handy in my new space. String Swing hangars can be found in my home. I like them a lot, but they're quite expensive. As a result, I made the decision to give them a shot. Although they are very similar, the guitars do not hang in the same way. Hangar rubber washers are ineffective at holding the guitar in place. These will hold your guitars if you're on a budget. br>br> br>br>The most noticeable difference between these and String Swing hangers (aside from price) is how they feel when you put your guitar in them. I can easily hold a guitar in one hand and hang it from a sitting position at home (String Swing). Because the guitars don't quite sit right in my office (Donner), I feel compelled to be more cautious. br>br>For reference, I have multiple electric guitars, a bass, and a couple of acoustics that come in and out of my office, as well as mandolins that I keep at home and hang on the (String Swing) hangers. Overall, I believe the problem is with the part that holds the guitar. br>br> Rubber washers are unnecessary on a good hanger, and they don't work on these.

The wood, to be honest, was in excellent shape. Because I have lathe and plaster, I had to do things a little differently with these. I had to prepare ahead of time. I needed to drill the hole and make sure I had a different type of fastening device, but these will work great in drywall. I currently have two electric guitars and one acoustic guitar mounted on the wall. I'm still working on three more. They are my favorite. I don't take them on and off the wall very frequently, though. So, I'm not sure how this would work in a public setting or somewhere where a small child could access it! br>br>Here's what I have to say: Take a chance and try it out! In less than 20 minutes, I had these up and running!.

These are functional as well as attractive. Because there are no instructions, you'll need to be familiar with hanging fixtures. You don't really need instructions, but I thought I'd mention it in case anyone was curious why there aren't any. br>br>If your wall is thick and sturdy, and your instrument is light, you might be able to get away with just the screws for installation, but if not, the plastic anchors should be installed first to ensure a stable and secure hanging.

There are two guitars in the collection. The ukulele is 1. 5" wide and 5" long. When they're in the holder, they're about 5" tall. The holders are made of a soft rubbery material. such as a material that cushions the instruments while also providing resistance so they don't slip. I purchased the 3-pack. pack. Because each of the holders is individually boxed, you could easily divide them and give them as gifts. I think putting the instruments on the wall is a great idea, and I'm hoping it will encourage us to play music together before going to our go-to spot. as we settle in for the evenings to (television).

I would have given these hangers five stars if one of them hadn't been severely damaged. It almost appears as if it was kicked around on the floor before being placed in the box. I might be able to make it look a little more presentable if I can fix it. For the price, I suppose it's acceptable. If I needed something of higher quality and with a more appealing appearance, I'd go with I'm going to look into a few of the others. Aside from that, they were simple to set up. I'd add a note that the plastic anchor requires a 5/16 drill bit.
