It is true. It should fit someone who is 9 years old in the way your foot is set.
It did not smell at all in mine.

At just $9, this stand is very stable, has an ample foot print, is easy to adjust, and comes with a nice wide footprint. Compared to Amazon, the Neewer footstand costs $12 less for a similar version. Taking a look at the picture, the Neewer is on the right and the Tetra is on the left. You'll save 3 bucks on Amazon if you choose the Tetra. (I paid $25 for the Neewer, the Tetra, and the Hercules FS100B. In the case of the Hercules, they scored 61 points That's scary). You should get a Tetra if I were you. There is nothing worth $15 more in the Hercules. My uke has gone from a tiny Sopranino to a soprano, to concert, to tenor, to baritone, and I spend too much time adjusting the same very old stand over and over until it breaks. Now, all I have to do is slide the plywood with the three stands attached back and forth to get the right height. The Tetras should have been purchased just 3 days earlier had I known. The cost of returning the Neewer and Hercules would have been greater than their worth, so I kept.
A guitar seat is absolutely mandatory for anyone who plays the guitar from a seated position. This stool appears to be of average quality, with no denting, still holds the adjustment even when picked up, and is sturdy enough to support my right foot (when sitting). I am 6'1" and weigh 250 pounds. A very important point I would like to make is the use of footrests instead of not using them. Set your foot down on it, and it'll instantly place your back and shoulders in an upright, more natural position. This will greatly increase the level of comfort while playing. If you currently use a bar stool with a "ring," this will make a big difference for you. I recommend that you take the plunge, if you're still on the fence The first time you use one, you'll wish you had started using one earlier!.
The adjustment is going well now that I've gotten used to it! As others have said, it is built solidly and of high quality. While I was sleeping, my toe stubbed on it, and I quickly wished I hadn't! I also use it to increase my balance when I practice standing. The rubber grip on top is riveted into the handle, so that should last a long time. With my foot on it, I can see what I'm doing with my guitars since the bottom of my instruments are pushed out. As a whole, it is a good product that I recommend. Please show your children the dangers of scissoring the legs and showing them the metal being made of is not recommended if you plan to buy this for your son or daughter. My guess is they could do a lot of harm to small.
The stool is of good quality at a good price. From moccasins to step stools, there is something for everyone. My experience has included expensive ones that have failed (literally) under pressure and cheaper ones that have lived up to expectations! In contrast to the many other items I have owned over the past 45 years, this one is very nicely built as well as providing a very spacious foot area. and has deep grooves, so even with wet shoes it would be hard to slip off (but who bothers with wet shoes? 2) I bought two of them. I keep one in my car because I always worry that I am going to get somewhere and THAT IS when I will I use the other to teach at school and it is in a case with the guitar I use. I have been using my stools on a regular basis for a few months now. I have seen no signs of wear on either one. This stool is excellent value for the money.
The guitarist who I watch on YouTube told us to get a footstool to hold the guitar while he demonstrated how to do so. In his opinion, it will improve your playing if you maintain an upright posture.
He suggested getting a cheap one, so I immediately went online to find one and ordered this one - the underside of the footstool measures 13. 25 inches. It is a hope that I know what I'm My first attempt at playing it was remarkably like the one I had seen years ago from a friend playing In her family, she grew up surrounded by guitars and sisters who had taught her to play the instrument and given her the stool to sit on. As soon as I made the decision, I knew it was the right choice. A great benefit of this device is its portability and lightweight. Yet it is sturdy at the same time. This chair has easy-to-adjust legs that you can raise or lower as desired.
As a nylon string classical player, I've seen players use footstools like this, but I never really considered it to be necessary for electric players. In spite of this, when I looked at my position while I was playing I realized it As soon as I sat down to play while wearing shorts (which is what I always do at home), I'd roll them back just a bit on the right leg to make sure the guitar rested on my bare thigh so it wouldn't slide off. This causes the company to lose its position to a greater extent. My right leg was instinctively raised up a bit every time I played with jeans/pants on a sitting down position by balancing on the ball of my foot when sitting. Then, I would prop two legs of the chair on my foot to keep my foot raised. However, as soon as I started using this lift, I felt my guitar as solid as though it were sitting right on my thigh, whether I was wearing shorts or not. Even though it doesn't seem like it would matter much, it makes a huge difference. I highly recommend this book.
This footrest was a few dollars more expensive than the one I was planning to buy, but after reading a bunch of reviews that said the other footrest had quality control problems, I ended up spending the extra few dollars for With a price of $10, it's hard to pass up. It was easy to set up and I feel as though it is sturdy on carpet or hardwood floors. My only complaint is that I wish it had just a little more adjustability in terms of height and angle, but I got used to it after about 20 minutes. I've definitely made a huge improvement over the "grab whatever random thing I can" method I was using.
It is very sturdy and stays put. I would recommend it to anyone looking for foot rest. I need not worry about it flimsy under weight or sliding around on There is plenty of room for my foot (men's size 12 shoe) on the foot surface area, and the rubber has a It is capable of adjusting the height in a As you can see, it's relatively lightweight and folds up small, so you can throw it into your bag or carry it around. I would say this is a necessity if you play any classical or flamenco music. It will also optimize your posture and instrument position when playing in any style of music. Playing with it is a great idea if you're working with difficult chords or unusual fingerings. Much of the work for supporting the instrument is taken off your fret hand and moved to the Here is a book I recommend. This is a great deal and you can't miss it.
