Questions & Answers

A Squier custom vibe 50's bass guitar came to my house Is it possible to swap these saddles for those bridges?

The bridge is a copy of the Fender bridge, so I would assume so.

Can you tell me what size the saddle height adjustment screws are?

My caliper measures a total screw length of 25/64"

Are the slots oriented in a particular direction?

The type of G string you use determines whether you need to wound it. When you use an electric set, set the low E string first, since it does not use a wound G In the first bridge piece, the slot for the E string should face the neck and the slot for the A string should face the back of the still be a bit longer than A string) *br>2nd bridge piece, D string should have a slot facing the back of the bridge, and G string should point toward the A string should be slightly longer than another string (ex G string should be longer than D string). *br>3rd bridge piece, upper E string should be pointing to bridge back, B string slot should be pointing to neck. It should be slightly longer than E string (B string).

The compensation design of the new model is a significant improvement over the old In the past I have used either Joe Barden or Vintique (Jay Monterose) compensated brass saddles, but the design introduced by this manufacturer is far more I think it relates to the take-away This point is "off" When using the old compensated saddles, the strings were perilously near the height adjusting screws as a result of their angle Due to the design of the saddles, they lay straight across, and the intonation compensation is built into the saddle, thus eliminating the need for string compensation A flaw in the previous design was the spacing
5/5

Comparable to the compensating saddles of Callaham, they have a wide range of adjustment options. It can't be argued that either one is better than the other, but these seem As far as I am concerned, I even went beyond that and got Gotoh-Titanium saddles to make this a hybrid The shared E and A are made from one of the titaniums Two strings are saddled with brass and two with string saddles. A Titanium guitar will give you a nice snap and twang.

A fix has been found for intonation issues
4/5

I'm much happier with them since they fixed my intonation issues. Not as beefy as the originals, but still. I adjusted the long adjustment screws, but they stuck out a bit past where I expected them to. There isn't a lot of distance in which it obstructs or looks bad, just a note. As a result, I had to flip the middle one over and move the height screws in the other direction to adjust. However, it's nice that they were reversible, because this gave me the option I desired. This is a company that I would recommend.

I love the sound of brass! These are installed on a telecaster from the 1950s by Squier, and I love how it sounds

I've found these to be so much better at intonating my classic vibe 50s tele! The next time I buy, I will There is no need to modify them in order to fit into the ashtray.

For any Bigsby, this is a must
5/5

The instrument is easily intonated. If one of the strings is not in tune, remove the height adjustment screws and flip the instrument over.

As a result of replacing the stock fender saddles with these ones for better intonation, I was shocked at how much the difference was
3/5

There was a great deal of excess space in the saddles. As a result of replacing the stock fender saddles with these ones for better intonation, I was shocked at how much the difference was. Without a shim, i would have been forced to use a bob to get decent action with them totally bottomed out.
