The work is still done. There was a bad tone pot in a 2003 Fender hss standard Due to the fact that it was a Fender part, and I have purchased Fender pots in the past, I assumed the quality would be similar. In this new one, the back of the pot housing is inscribed "Made in Taiwan. ". One of the first things I noticed was how easy it was to bend the tabs where you solder the wire. You could say they had less strength. As soon as I soldered the pot in, I heard a difference in sound. The front pickup lacked some of the sweetness it once had. Taking it out of my parts bin, I replaced the old no load pot with something I had in my parts bin and it returned to its original sweetness right away. Worked for you if you bought this new Fender pot? In short, yes. Do you think it can affect the tone of your voice? In fact, yes.
I can make pots, but Fender doesn't. For others that were surprised these weren't branded "Fender". 2 out of 4 of these CTS Pro pots were way out of spec. These are supposed to be the best pots, but 2 of 4 were way off. Fender would use these on their guitars? This is unfathomable to me. The shafts of these pro-quality sticks are not brass like those of most other CTS rods. Is it possible that they are fake?.
My old guitar was in need of new tone pots, so I bought a few of these to replace dirty dime-sized ones. It's a pair of Fender branded CTS pots and they work just fine. As others have said, we only dislike that you can feel the knobs a bit grinding when you turn them. There's no way to tell whether this will smooth out with time, but I suspect it will. Overall, it is not a deal breaker, but it is definitely worth considering. In any case, it seems to be a good deal.
These pots are fantastic. They are perfect. Although I wasn't sure if they would be good based on some of the reviews, they ended up being There is no doubt that these are genuine. As far as resistance and taper are concerned, they all fall within specs. Everything about the shafts is good. There is nothing to criticize. As a side note, there is a little less drag for rotation, so it is a little easier to bump them into shifting, but not too much so. There will be more purchases in the future.
I hate it. It's not real CTS to me I think Fender is putting it together in a crummy way and overcharging us for it. There is something wrong with your feeling. The scratched surface. There are a lot of strange sizes in the letters, and no taper whatsoever. I would describe it as an on-line approach Turn the off switch off. You can just buy a regular CTS pot or a Bournspot. Experiences like these appear to be common for this product. Please avoid blend-ins with this product as well. The pot should be balanced. There's nothing fun about it.
Thumb switch works well but knob twist isn't as smooth as I would like. There are some small burrs in the mechanism that cause a very slight grinding and binding inside. Doesn't impact function or tone.
This is not something you should buy. Two of them were way out of specs, one of them was 200k, so I didn't put them in. The two I installed were very close to the specifications. The one I tried failed after 3 weeks, I was so Don't buy these, they must be a cheap product in a Fender bag. I would expect more from a Fender label product.
The price is great and the quality is great! This is an original Fender! Taiwan may be claimed as the country of manufacture. Who would have thought it? All of these kinds of products are typically made in Asian countries.
