Questions & Answers

What do you think of it as a Squire telecaster classic?

In a way. It's a little bit different in appearance, but it acts as a very sturdy When installing the jack, ensure that the screws go into both sides of the hole. However, ensure that it is aligned precisely before installation. Aligning the housing requires precision because there is little room for error.

With this jack, can you use a guitar cable angled 90 degrees?

The electrosocket jack plates are intended to be used with straight plugs. It is not recommended to use a longer version #11 jack for right angle plugs, as it may give a little additional length. Not available with a long version of this item. Comes with a standard length #11 plug.

Fitting the jack plate flush with the body is it necessary? It seems like the plate sticks out a little bit on my new mim body. ?

In this case, no. A little bit more lip is visible than there is hole in a It had just a tiny gap between the hole and the jack plate, but the jack plate is held in place by two screws (you can see one in the photo) and that makes it very secure and much better than the factory jack that Fender should have thrown out years ago.

My jaw dropped when I heard that. The instrument is playing, but there is no sound coming out of the guitar. I have installed the electrojack and screwed it in, but there is still no sound. What suggestions do you have?

Thank you for sharing that with me. Check that the solder joints are free of cold solder joints (re solder the joints just to make sure there are no cold solder joints). Double check that hot and ground are connected to the correct tabs, and ensure that none of the wires were broken during It needs to be either a bad connection, a cold solder joint, or a broken wire since they are all examined, tested, and repaired.

There is a problem aligning the threads
3/5

The delivery was on time and everything arrived as expected. The problem is, however, As it turned out, the threads on the cup didn't correspond to the threads on the input jack. As I stated above, in a perfect world, you would have returned this item for a replacement, but in your reality, where my son's Telecaster is already disassembled on the kitchen table and I've already soldered all the parts together (a feat in itself), (I am not an electrician), so I applied loctite to the threads and then inserted my screwdriver into the threads. Using a twist, the pieces were connected. Having already dried some of my clothes, yes. Although I knew about the problem and fitted the parts Having a real discussion is important After I returned it all, got the replaced parts (which may not work any better), and spent the time to process my return (it would have cost me more than ten bucks, without even taking into account the time I would have wasted). As things stand, I will purchase another guitar from another supplier when I need to rebuild this guitar next time. In the event that this vendor attempts to resolve this matter, I will be happy to modify my review (holding my *as long as it has a positive outcome, Although it has a buzz to it, it has always had one. It's probably going to take a while because I have to rebuild the switches and pots, but it plays like a Siamese Dream, so I guess that's.

The first time I plugged it in, it worked perfectly
5/5

When I tried it with another type of socket, it just sucked. The other hand, was the right diameter, the right thread, and even has a Switchcraft jack, making thread fit to a T. I like the tight fit in the guitar, and I like the fit in the jack for the guitar cable as well. The tele I have around is about to be replaced by a new one, which I'm thinking of getting. We would definitely buy from them.

The fit is very good
5/5

I had no problem screwing on the jackplate to the guitar jack and the hole in the body of the guitar fit nicely. The mounting screws were then screwed in after it was rotated until the mounting screws were positioned where I wanted them to be. There was no need to drill pilot holes in this body because the wood was so soft. To mount a plate on a hard wood, you may need to drill a few pilot holes. Despite the difficulty of doing that, it is possible. It seems to be working well for me.

The replacement jack almost matches the original
3/5

Even though the Switchcraft jack is a very solid and reliable piece of equipment, its mounting plate is just a tad too small for the hole Fender drilled in the Chinese made Squire Telecaster I have. This product would be a perfect replacement for the poor quality jack that Fender famously puts in their guitars. You just need to take the lip of the plate a bit larger to fit over the hole's edge. In spite of that, it is still a very good replacement for the original input jack when installed correctly. As soon as it is installed, this new jack works perfectly and is very solid, giving a permanent solution to intermittent connections.

Tele jack is the best
5/5

The period. My personal favorite jack plate, I use it for all my tele build projects, you can adjust the jack end to stick out, so you can use 90 degree cables.

This works really well
5/5

Using this to replace a noisy jack on my Telecaster, it worked just fine. I haven't heard any noise from the amp after it's been fitted.

I will make it into an Esquire
5/5

It's very similar to that 50s Esquire look, but with a Telecaster guitar!
It's a great way to update the look of your Tele! This is a great design! I find this to be very useful as well!.
