Questions & Answers
Yes. It comes with a braided shield on the outside. The interior has a push-back cloth cover. When looking for a shield, look for words like braided, exterior braided, and braided shield.
I'm not sure what "picks" are, but the shield is made up of wire pairs. It's also possible to find it with a three-wire woven shield.

Guitar with a hollow body. This wire, when properly grounded, helps to ensure that there is no hum. br>br>Like copper shielding tape, grounding the wire on the outside protects the wires inside from rfi and other noise. br>br>Until I pluck a string on my guitar, it is completely silent, which is fantastic.
It was a huge help in getting rid of some RF noise I was getting. If you've never worked with this type of wire before, you'll need a large needle or awl to split the braid on the wire's outside.
It appears to be the same wire that was used in vintage Gibson guitars. Very nice.
Very good quality, and 12' was more than enough to complete the wiring for a 1950s-era car. Les Paul guitar kit in style For less than ten dollars shipped? With a stick, you can't beat that.
It was exactly as described.
This item's description is a little deceptive. It's described as "cloth covered," which may lead you to believe it's a grey push-up bra. It's not like other colors from the same brand because the back cloth covers the wire. The outer layer of the pushback is made up of braided metal shielding strands that are meant to be soldered to ground rather than a cloth.
It performs as expected.
