Questions & Answers

Are you familiar with how to use this with an 8 string electric guitar?

There is one I have and it appears to work, but it is longer than a capo for a 6 You got more than you need of the string. Obviously, there are other capos that are better suited to electric guitars. Visit your local Guitar Center or other music store if you're not sure what to get, and have them recommend something.

The electric acoustic guitar I currently own is the ovation ultra 12 string electric There is a slight convexity in the neck as you look down. What is the possibility of this capo fitting my ?

Capos find it challenging to play 12 strings. Likewise, I have an Ovation 12 string powered by electrics and acoustics. Though the capo appears to be fine, I chose to tune it down to D just to make chord/bar chords a little bit easier. So I played it with the capo. Capos for 6 strings that are much different from the norm. Hope you have a successful run!

Describe how well this works on a 6-inch screen Is it possible to have a long neck string?

There is a six string Martin D-model in my collection This model has a 28SW neck and almost a 2" wide shoulder. It is part of the Deluxe Series GCs It is ideal for this application to use a 30T (S3) capo for 12 string guitar. It was the same exact model I had before and I immediately replaced it with the same one.

Are there any plans to implement it on a classical guitar (with a wider ?

In my case, the model (#3) worked very well on my Seagull 12-inch This string has a 1 at the beginning. There are 93" of width in the From Shubb's website, a #3 should fit up to a 2 in their trucks. There are two models The #2 model is intended for classical guitars and has a 25" wide RADIUSED fretboard With a 2.75 inch diameter, it is designed for use with a power cord. Fretboards commonly found on classical guitars are FLAT and measure 25 inches wide. This may be of some help to you.

This is a new model to beware of
3/5

It is no secret that I am a big fan of Shubb caps, having used them for many years as a professional player. Unlike the model I received recently via Amazon, the new model I received was disappointing. However, although the size of the "jaws" seems to be the same as the previous model, the adjustment screw does not allow them to open as widely as it did previously. A few of my instruments cannot be worked on because it is not wide enough. The letter will likely be sent back for replacement to Shubb, and I plan on letting them know about it directly. It is a pleasure to meet them at NAMM every now and then. My opinion is that the product is great and they are a great group of people. You should be able to adjust the tension of a capo from one instrument to another and as you change the position of the capo Also, I like to put on the capo so that the open "jaws" face up, thus allowing me to snap my thumb down on the capo on a downbeat, which makes it fall to the ground. Since I play almost exclusively in DADGAD tuning, the drop capo is a way for me to quickly change keys When accompanied by traditional Irish music, this is a very important factor.

This product is advertised as being 12-inches The string capo with a G3 key signature
4/5

The capo is all there is to it. The capo I was searching for would have an enhanced rubber buffering at the string contact edge so that the thin strings would be nearly as tightly pressed to the fretboard as the thick strings. This isn't the case here, it's only another standard capo and the thin strings will mute or buzz unless you crank it down really hard right on top of a fret, which would mean that you would damage the frets or wood on your neck. Could be that the contact arm is longer by a couple of mm. On the flip lever, the little rocker wheel, which is made from hard plastic, is the weakest point. You'll have to exert additional tension to make this capo work for your 12-string guitar, so I doubt that will last long Capos are useful while the string is in tact, but will not be useful when it is gone. A chrome finish appears to be on the metal, which might flake off at some point, but not prior to that fulcrum wheel crumbling. Nonetheless, it is a great capo and very easy to use and has a very.

Tutti Capi is the cap of all the captains
5/5

During rehearsals before a performance in public, the device was used. I found it to work well, but like any capo, you have to keep the barre close to the fret and align it properly so that all strings are audible, especially on a 12-string An instrument with a string. A unique feature of the Shubb is its adjustable roller mechanism, which ensures that the strings will hold down to the desired tension. Besides the difference in tension based on where it is placed, it is more difficult to press strings down for a capo that only has spring tension around fret five. The roller mechanism allows for more precise tensioning along the fingerboard than simply having a spring-loaded capo. There are loads. In exchange for convenience, we sacrifice quality. The capo I needed to use was at fret three, so I pre-tuned it Only one device) can be used to turn the capo on and off. For live performances, this might not be the most ideal device for your need to capo at different frets. There are a variety of springs that can be used - like the Kyser It is better to only capo when you are under pressure to do so as quickly as possible. In contrast, the Shubb is the way to go if you're in the studio or if you set it once and forget it. There are a few others that I obtained years ago that were similar in design and even those with very hard rubber contact points are useful There is only one minor issue, namely that the handle is a bit short and does not provide quite enough length for optimal In addition, there is also the trade off between weight, bulk, as well as a longer handle becoming cumbersome. There are a few issues with this. It would have been worth paying a few dollars more for the additional tensile strength if this had been available in stainless steel. A concern for me is that the capo appears to be made of cheap Chinese metal that is prone to snapping If stainless steel is available, then opt for it. have ordered another Shupp, but it will be in stainless steel and six string acoustic. If I do capo, I'd like to have a Shubb and a Kyser in my gig bag in case of an emergency. Thank you for your hard work, As long as I had my Martin 12-string, I could play You can string with more confidence, not having to worry about the capo.

Design your capo in the best way
5/5

The spring capo is far more accurate than a standard The style of these caps is the one I always use. A 12-inch version of this one is on the way I tested it with a string and it worked well. Also use it on regular guitars when I can't find my other one, and still manage to play well with it even though it's a little bit If you have always used a standard spring clamp capo, and you haven't tried one of these, you'll be amazed at how much of a difference it makes. They are much better than what we have. This clamp does a perfect job. The neck size of the guitar can be adjusted by adjusting them. There are four guitars in my collection, and they all have different shapes, but this adapter There is no problem with the tone quality. When using one of these caps, you do not feel or sound like you are playing open strings on your guitar. You won't get any buzzing if you set it up correctly.

I use it on my 12 string guitar and it works great
5/5

The instruments I own are 4 guitars (3 acoustic, 1 electric), and several caps. This capo holds all the strings perfectly of a 12 string guitar, but it does so with a great deal of precision. Due to the fact that I tuned my 12 string down one full step, I require the capo to be in standard tuning on the 2nd fret. The benefit of this is that it reduces the tension on the neck and the motion of the neck While it may not move as easily from one fret to the next as other capos, it does a superior job at holding down all 12 strings despite the minor inconvenience.

As a sceptic, I viewed the article with skepticism
5/5

One of my fellow players recommended Shubb caps since they don't need to be adjusted. As my luthier says, they do not kink the strings like the others do. My first purchase was the 6 string version, which worked so well that I bought the 12 string version as well. Whenever you use a capo, you need these. They are similar to barre chords in the sense they press on the strings.

This does not apply just to children aged 12 and under There are strings! I have a few Kyser capos and this one is an excellent supplement

This lock is entirely different from a spring clamp in that it works with a lever rather than a spring. If the tension is too loose or tight, you can quickly adjust it as needed Try to find something in between. Almost all of my 12-inch laptops will fit in it I tested the string on a 6-inch screen and it worked It is possible to play string acoustics without In all other respects, nickel is the same as the other finishes. Nickel is a very nice finish for a reasonable price. Capo is very good.
