Though I'm not sure, I believe it has to do with matching the radius of the fretboard to the guitar. Modern Strat guitars have a 9-inch radius. Les Pauls have a radius of 5" while 5" Les Pauls have a radius of 12". My opinion is that most of the acoustic & electric guitars come in There are classical guitars with fretboards that have even more flattened radiuses. There doesn't appear to be a "classic' capo on the Kyser website, but there is one designed specifically for "classical" guitar. My Taylor T5z guitar has a 12" radius like a Les Paul, and I have one designed specifically for acoustic guitars, as well as others for Strats, Les Pauls and even a couple for my acoustic guitars.
You will have no trouble. The only neck you may have a problem with is a classical, but there is a capo for that as well.
The only difference is it is designed specifically for electric guitars. This string tension is a little less than that of an acoustic guitar, so the strings remain Apart from that, it's still the same great design with quick release. That's what I love about
In some music stores you can get them in other colors and styles (I bought mine at Guitar Center and the gradient color is called sunburst), but on Amazon I've only seen black ones specifically for electric guitars.

A capo with such an extreme spring tension would not work. I use it to crush all the strings from the fret board to the ground on my electric guitar, resulting in some strings being sharper than others and In order to achieve satisfactory results, it must be as close to the fret as possible, but just far enough back so as not to muffle the strings. You can't easily put it on between songs in a live performance setting when you are trying to put it on quickly. Another thing that annoys me is the size of this contraption right on the fret and potentially in the way of fretting the "now 1st fret. ". The SHUBB C1K was returned and a spring tension adjustment was purchased. A finger-like device can be placed between frets in the middle area to simulate the natural pressure of pressing on a finger. There is also another model with a more extreme radius for vintage necks. I was able to use the C1 with my 14 degree James Tyler lens.
It is a nice six string guitar capo, with the exception that there is no protective pad on As you can see in the product photo, there appears to be a pad with approximately the same thickness as Wrapping tape over the edge, not a pad, is what that looks like. There is some protection provided by this, but I am disappointed when it turns out it does not work as advertised. Despite the spring being stronger than expected, it seems to be overpowered. On a maple and rosewood fingerboard, I have used it. I am convinced that it will work for an acoustic guitar it is adequate on my acoustic that has light strings), unless you have really heavy strings on the guitar. In my measurements of two guitar caps, I found that the size of the pad on the electric guitar capo is A capo on an acoustic guitar is 0. 3 inches shorter than a capo on a guitar. Although it might be of concern at higher frets, who places a capo that high up on their.
Adding to the bad news, I have a Kyser partial capo for an acoustic guitar that has less spring tension. If you use it on a Stratocaster, the strings are mangled so tightly that each string is sharp. I am not sure what kind of electric guitar it was designed for. There is a worsening of symptoms as you progress up the neck.
Tension in the spring is as you would like it to be. It works very well on my acoustic and electric guitars, so I was delighted to find out. I bought it for my electric guitars, but it works well on my acoustic guitars You can definitely tell the quality is there because the tension is just right. Thanks to the good capo I finally had a chance to purchase! One thing I wish it came in more colors is that it came in more options. I'm not sure if it exists, but it seemed to be available only in black on Amazon.
This is a great set of capos - inexpensive and good quality I like it a lot, and it's the only kind I use.
You should pay attention to the fact that this guitar cable is designed specifically for an electric guitar, and will not work properly in the long run. In both cases, term refers to an acoustic guitar (and vice versa with capos designed for acoustics) The strings of an acoustic guitar are often somewhat more stressed, so a capo as small as this one will not be able to clamp the strings properly. As a consequence, the higher gauge (thicker) of acoustic strings will quickly wear through rubber and end it's life earlier than it should. Capos need to be bought for both electric and acoustic instruments, or they will need to be replaced more often or you'll need to buy more than one. Additionally, Kyser makes capos for acoustic guitars with thicker rubber for the clamp, as well as a higher level of.
My thoughts are few and far between. This capo does a great job and does what it's supposed to. Moreover, I was pleasantly surprised by how light it felt Despite its light weight and compact size, it is very durable. Aside from being easy to open and close, it is also convenient. I like this acoustic guitar strap much better than the Kyser one I have. I believe these are the best capos out there if you need one.
" on them. They were all out of tune and extremely difficult to put on and take off and pulled my ukuleles drastically out of tune. For some bizarre reason, no ukes I own are out of tune when using this. There is an Applause/Ovation Soprano Uke, a Lanikai Concert, and a custom Tenor electric uke (not unlike an electric guitar) and the Kyser Capo was a perfect match for them all. According to a recent Kyser catalog review, the spring is a perfect tension for the electric guitar capo I found that it was not difficult to put on or take off the instrument, and that it did not pull the strings out of tune horribly. **I know, but I'd like to clarify. caps cause the strings to go out of tune a little. There are some that work, but this one is the best. The capo is amazing! In any case, I cannot say enough good things about it. This is the best ukulele for a ukulele player!.
I've tried a few capos on my Epiphone SG, and this one is the best. The capo is easy to put on and take off. It holds my middle strings in place (which I've had trouble with in the past).
