There is no Ovation in my possession. Having no issue with the capo that I installed on my Epiphone FT570SB Sheraton guitar. A pair of electric guitars were used as well.

I can place it awkwardly, but it does almost always do the job. I found this capo greatly improved my playing. Previously, I would have to carefully place my capo to avoid string buzz. I'd often have to try a few times to get it just right. These days, I can just pop this on and it almost always works. I must place it in such an awkward way to make a My Fender Hellcat neck fits the curve perfectly, and I love the design of the handle placement, which is more comfortable than the old style handles that protrude over the fretboard. I couldn't be happier, it works perfectly.
