Questions & Answers
There is a clip or jack mount included with the Realist pickup that mounts to 1/4" plugs As soon as you place the clip on the pickup, you run your "G" string through it to secure it to the tailpiece.
The answer is yes, I think. They work well and we have three of them.
It was a gift from my wife- A few years ago, we started it up, and it is still doing well today. There is a lot we like about This works great and sounds great at the same time.

It is important that you install the pickup beneath the E side, and not the G side! Under the tailpiece is the quarter-inch plug. It would be best to have your luthier do the job for you and while he is at it, have him or her check and or reset the bridge on the instrument. There should be no unexpected costs since I was charged only 60 bucks for pickup installation and bridge repair. I'll get you the pickup then. The instrument I play is a 3/4 Eastman, and I am primarily a bluegrass player. My favorite way to use this pickup is to combine it with an Aguilar compressor and a 1x12 Markbass combo and I swear it blows your mind. I think that running into the board will sound good The Schatten pickup was very similar to this one in terms of sound, but the installation was not nearly as snug as this one. While I would definitely recommend Schatten as well, the snugness of the installation with Realist gives me great comfort. The best 10/10 I've ever heard!.
It's the pickup she uses for jazz band, as well as contemporary services at church. To shorten it, we used a plastic zip tie which does not buzz if the wire is touching anything. The rest of the product is great!.
I still consider this pickup to be my favorite. In all, I have owned two bass guitars and played countless gigs with the first one I bought. In order to save time, I bought a new one, but I plan on sending the old one to David Gage for refurbishing, so that I just wanted to let you know they will refurbish for VERY reasonable rates. Among the pros Sound like you're playing an instrument when you play bass. I am happy to be able to do so. There is no power source needed, it's all passive. * Cons This installation process can be tricky, and it is not something you want to take on and off frequently. I am happy to be able to do so. When signal is running through a PA at high volume, it can become out of control. If you own an amplifier with a notch filter (Acoustic Image Clarus, for example), this is ideal.
It took me over the weekend to receive my Realist double bass pick up. You can watch a YouTube video that explains how to install it (there is a guide on how to do that). This was plugged into an amplifier and I was pleased with the result. It is a great tool for both pizzicato and arco.
A bass pickup I have never used has been the best. A quick mount is provided. The sound is very good. There is no bulk whatsoever.
Since I began using these a couple of years ago, I couldn't be happier. During my acoustic practice, I don't alter the arc so that it is seamlessly alternated.
All frequencies are well-represented in the sound, which is clean and clear. I love how it picks up the bow so well. Although Pizz needs a little adjustment with EQ, the overall sound is still.
It seems like Realist has a great new sound. Let's just hope that it will last longer than the other one.
